Govt of india should implement the recommendations of planning commission of India in favour of Saakshar bharat mission. Lifelong learning is the need of hour. Our govt is using voluntarism for adult education system which is main draw back for success of Adult Education. Saakshar bharat mission is gainining momentum and the same programme should be used to implement lifelong learning and literacy. The employees who are working under it should be encouraged by means of good salary.

In every cities and villages there are poor people who worked in day and studied in the evening and found employment. All we need is encouragement and will power. A little success begets more success.

We all know examples are better than precepts. If we can bring women who improved their income and social status by educating themselves, more illiterate women will follow their example. ...Jab ma sikhegi, tab hi to beti ko sikhaygi.

make it not a permanent job. 40 days is sufficient duration. More length reduces the potential lelvel of learner as well as of teaching faculty.
Make it a short duration program and in slots of 4-5 weeks. with gaps of 3-4 dayswithin weeks. Add marketing etc. trading etc. practical skills for pupils.

Use of education in day to day life is not being understood by the people living in the lower strata of society. Even the middle or upper class are ignorant about effective use of education in life. Every happening gets translated in to money. Hence inculcation of financial literacy at every level of education will create positive interest of people in education.

Adult education program of two years duration to cover all population up to 40 years age should be a top priority to be completed by 2020.BY this, they should attain the level of 5th class pass. Parents' mindset will be on the right track for any future planning. make use of retired people for this program and provide incentives and infrastructure expenses.

Make a new wing under NIOS with a new, simple, technical and vocational skill oriented education so that rural people can earn a better living after school education.
Let volunteers go to rural areas educate the weaker section and conduct exams at the spot . Recruit more professionals as NGO teachers running mobile schools.
