Though there have been significant gains in literacy rates, large gender, social and regional disparities in literacy levels persist. The gains in literacy levels are due to success of the adult education programmes and improvements in primary schooling. However, there is a further need to enhance the literacy levels of the socially marginalized groups and those living in rural areas through interventions of adult education programmes and open schooling systems. This theme seeks to elicit views on how we achieve faster progress in reducing the existing disparities in literacy levels.

For the admission of kg-1 we have to pay 40000 rs as donation in nagpur where the CM of Maharashtra is from nagpur and the school admission process is understandable . I think school offer for the children is near to the area where they stay.

have board members of schools be women from sc/st/and minorities compulsory with emphasis on gender sensitization, basic civility, tests on moral competence on whether discrimination is accepted. Issues like open defecation and it leading to stunting, diseases, low cognition in children must be taught. Civic policies, civic education ,administration must be taught

I think we have to make the education society as pvt ltd company so that this commercial society makes a good profit but that does not help our society which is expecting good quality of education with affordable price but this commercial education system does not full-fill this dream of common people.

Literacy alone should not be our focus. Let us aim at education that truly empowers with critical thinking and decision making.

Education policy should be in a way which gives a proper education to a child from it's beginning like nurturing his skills and make him independent to make his own choice.not forecfully read and remind all stuff to get high numbers/grade in examination Value based, culture based and skill based education is must rather imitating and false smart ism.
