While the general participation rates in higher education has been steadily increasing and today our HE GER is 21.5%, this is not evenly spread across social groups and women. Equitable growth is essential to sustain higher GER rates and hence what kinds of affirmative action could be suggested to reduce gender and social disparities in here.

Apart from a school-grade level campaign, we need active adult education about Sex & Gender Roles. Empower, fund, & protect public spaces like Libraries, Parks, & Schools so that they can provide continued education, facilities, for community engagement. This will not only increase employment, it will also increase civic engagement, which in turn will be effective in changing the malaise of "mentality" & social stigma & inequality! We need positive, protected, empowering public spaces!

We need more comprehensive SEX &GENDER education in schools at EVERY grade level. This will include: 1) Differentiating between Gender (Identity) & Sex (Biology) 2) Sex Education: Physiology, Hygiene, Contraception, Safe Sexual Practices 3) Gender Sensitization: Why do we have different gender identities (male, female, transgender, pangender, etc.)? How does Gender Identity differ from Sexual Identity (Lesbian, Gay, BiSexual, Queer, Asexual, etc.) 4) Open forums for Society & Sexuality

"गुरुजन बन्धुओं को चाहिए कि सबसे पहले विद्यार्थियों को शिष्टाचार का व्यावहारिक पहलू मजबूत करें ! ‘सत्यं बद्; धर्मं चर ! (सत्य बोलें और धर्म पर रहें-चलें !)’ अध्ययन का मूलमन्त्र होना चाहिये । इसकी व्यावहारिकता पर सबसे कड़ी दृष्टि होनी चाहिये ।

new eduction should narrower the gap between girls and boys. many social evils are linked with women. so we should teach the children to respect the girls only then the society can be reformed. more and more girls should be given scholarships for higher education. India is a country of diversity. many social groups exists here. so education can help in bringing social equality.
