Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

पर्यटक ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में सहज महसूस करें, इसके लिये उन्हें उनके गन्तव्य स्थान के बारे में पहले से ही विस्तृत जानकारी प्रदान की जा सकती है। उन्हें किसी क्षेत्र में प्रचलित विशेष रीति-रिवाजों की भी जानकारी दी जा सकती है ताकि वे तदनुरूप अपने को तैयार कर सकें।

Our country is full of talented people and Tourism showcases the rural life of rich culture and traditions. So, providing various benefits the urban people take interest and uplift rural areas economically and socially by interacting with them and highlight their talent with the help of social media platforms. It automatically enrich relationship between the tourists and the locals for happy tourism.

After finding of tourist zone/Circit govt. should have developed the area including all the amenities for the tourists. Then the tourist complex/cottage etc. to be handed over to the local group of people, who in return some pre fixed amount to be given to the govt yearly basis. It will be beneficial to local people as well as govt.

5. Transportation has to be much cheaper and faster. Railways need to be improved much more in terms of time and cost. Faster the supply the better

4. Forming craftsman communities. Through this, the unique techniques can be documented, shared, preserved and improved. Provide assistance to these communities financially as well as technically(like design, quality, marketing and creating new ideas)

स्थानीय क्षेत्र अक्सर उपेक्षित रह जाते है भारत का हर गाँव एक विशेष संस्कृति और पर्यावरणीय विविधता रखता है सभी की पहचान उजागर हो जिससे भारत की नवीन पीढ़ी सांस्कृतिक विविधता की समृद्ध परम्परा से वंचित ना रहे स्थानीय प्राशसन का दायित्व है की गावों को लोक परम्पराओ को जीवित रखने वाले मेलो उत्सवों का अच्छे से अच्छे तरीको से आयोजन करवाए लोक कला लोक गीतों मे रचे बसे सुन्दर जीवन दर्शन को सभी जाने मेरा सुझाव गाँव को हर तरह की सांस्कृतिक उत्कृष्ट रूप मे परिलक्षित करना है

We can increase the tourisam incomes or...place with the . New inoveting...place or avernes of clean..and we should make .. every rural areas are....clean or good situation..thean my India should be chang in tourisam area....

Rural India is Unique in all states from Jammu and Kashmir to Tamil Nadu it has different climatic atmosphere like Kerala has good water ways, Rajasthan has desert and many and many..., skills based Young Start Ups can do great things but financial inclusions or deals helps to build a good environment in tourism space like Infrastructure, roads, road, rail connectivity helps 100 success in this sector ---- handicrafts goods, Natural Foods, AYUSH Medicine, etc helps Rural torusim great.
