Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

tourism of villages is may be new campaign of India we must want improve basic problems of rular area first think is basis vocublary education or basic professional ideas second thing is as like a well quality of roads for public transport pure drinking water electricity provided rular peoples for herb plant or move to peoples at organic farming rular areas air qaulity is very good for health

म.प्र. में कई सारे ऐसे क्षेत्र हैं जहां पर पुरातन समय की बावड़ी या किले खण्डित अवस्था मे हैं।ओरछा ,ग्वालियर ,चंदेरी,मांडू,सांची,खुजराहो आदि बड़े बड़े नगर आज प्रसिद्धि प्राप्त हैं परंतु कुछ छोटी छोटी जगह ऐसी भी हैं जो आज भी गुमनाम हैं,इनमें से अशोकनगर जिले के पास कदवाया और तुमेंन ग्राम ऐसे ही ग्राम हैं जहां प्राचीन समय की धरोहर बिखरी पड़ी हैं पर इन्हें वो ख्याति या प्रसिद्धि नहीं मिल पाई है। इसके लिए सोशल मीडिया या प्रिंट मीडिया के सहारे से इन्हें हम मशहूर कर सकते हैं।

I thinthe best way to improve torousim in rural areas is to create the curiosity and that motive behind visiting villages .This can be seen useful in way we go to Taj Mahal for its beauty we have been hearing about since long. पर्यटन से लाभ निम्नानुसार होगा:- 1:-टूरिस्ट मे लोग आयेंगे जिससे आर्थिक लाभ होगा। 2:-सांस्कृतिक लाभ । 3:-धार्मिक लाभ। 4:-यातायात सेवा से लाभ। 5:-स्वच्छ वायु लाभ। 6:-ग्रामीण बेरोजगारो को नौकरी का लाभ जिससे आर्थिक रूप से परिवार का भरण पोषण कर सकेगा। इन सब का अलग अलग एप्प बनाकर समीक्षा का लाभ। 7:-कार्य आनलाइन एन्ट्री व आफ लाइन एन्ट्री होने से चोरी व भ्रष्टाचार बंद होने का लाभ। 8:-साथ में कलाकेन्द्र होना चाहिए। 9:-उसके अंदर अंतराष्ट्रीय खेल मैदान होने से भी लाभ होगा।

All states have a very great potential for tourism. But,the main problem is to utilise it. Govt is funding much amount to Heritage villages but they don't know just a ratio is used for the main work the main problem is corruption. These days corruption is reduced in cities but it is increasing day by day in rural areas by pardhans, officials etc.I live in India's 1st Heritage village Pragpur in hp Many foreign tourist come here every year but not much indians as they know that they are robbed

Dear Modiji, We still have not tested revenue from Tourism. I am i Tourism with since last two decades and suggest so many things .This place will b short . But few things 1 ) In Tourism except Senior level all post to be given to youth or people below 40 years..They will be more energetic.. 2 ) They all must be trained how to be more helpful/Courtius.3) They should be given good pay package and performance based incentive so no curruption 4) Well connected.. and so many more things but space le

Hi,my name is G. Shyam Sundar and I have a opinion that if we want to improve the tourism in rural areas then we can guide the local people to help the outsiders or foreigners and sometimes when foreigners come to visit then, local people always charge them higher money for a normal product or in transportation which makes a wrong impression on tourist that they are charging a lot more tax. We surely have to educate the local people that how they have to tackle the communication with tourists.

Good and well maitain road to every rural area. Electricity, transportation, water supply, medical facilities, education etc so that they can improve their lifestyle Engage people more for traditional lodges. Promoting on large manner rural areas
