Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

Ease of access- well-connected roads, multiple modes of travel (railways, buses, cars) Urban Planning and restoration- Restoration and beautification of sites such as temples, palaces or forts. Include seating spaces, activities such as flea market or local artisans, public gatherings (street plays, music festivals, heritage walks) Restaurants and lodging facilities of various budget options. Example- guest house stays with home cooked meals Cleanliness Advertisements

Every village has it's own important value.each and every village consists many fascinating things .I always enjoy to travel villages . According to me we should try to make our country's people interested in doing such work.they would enjoy it a lot and also learn many things .in schools also this kind of project works be mentioned to travel and write about them.

सबसे पहले जनसंख्या नियंत्रण उसके बाद सभी के लिए शिक्षा एवं सफाई अनिवार्य की जाए गांव के लोगों को पर्यटन को रोजगार के रूप में विकसित करने के लिए प्रशिक्षित किया जाए

Dear PM sir Many People who are taking benefit in the name of being poor are actually not poor. Sir my maid sells the rice that she gets from govt at Rs.1/- at Rs 15/- ...sometimes asks if i need it. I being tax payer feel betrayed. Are these poor really poor. My maid's monthly earning is Rs.15000/- but she holds a BPL card gets a free house from slum board.... her family put together earns about 50000/- a month & has a BPL CARD... Sir ...please bring in common tax code.

Dear PM Sir Like common civil code.please make common income tax code.....make it 10% of total income instead of 30% This will stop tax chori. If someone earns 2 lakhs per annum ...he pays 20000/- If someone earns 30 thousands then he pays 3000/- ... So there is no bias every citizen pays tax ...... Tax income to the govt will increase Tax chori will almost become nil Tax payers now feel betrayed .... we pay tax & we hardly get any benefit..Poor or rich pay same tax.All contribute

In my opinion, INDIA is like a diamond hidden in coal. We people don't take concern on our environment. We only have the potential to regain it's beauty. The lack of a proper administration over rural areas and the illiteracy of people due to poverty makes the rural areas a less preferred tourist spot . So , good education must be provided to the locals and efficient administrators must be employed for those places. The most important is to check whether all the rules are followed by people.

INDIAN TRADITIONAL TECHNOLOGY भारतीय गाँवो में आज भी अनेक स्थानों पर प्राचीन विज्ञान-प्रौद्योगिकी का प्रयोग किया जाता है। इसमें निम्नलिखित प्रमुख हैं- 1. मिट्टी से बने मकान, जिनमें Thermal Insulation बहुत अच्छा होता है। ऐसे और भी उदाहरण हैं। Even Engineering Students may be taken for Educational Tour to Rural India This also will increase the Rural Tourism

BOLLYWOOD AND RURAL TOURISM भारतीय सिनेमा के प्रारम्भिक काल में ग्रामीण भारत की पृष्ठभूमि को बहुलता से दिखाया गया है। आज भी भारतीय जनमानस में सिनेमा के प्रति विशिष्ट आकर्षण है। यदि इस सिनेमाप्रेमी जनमानस को प्रोत्साहित किया जाये कि ग्रामीण भारत में जाकर वे पुरानी फिल्मों के वास्तविक परिदृश्य को अनुभव कर सकते हैं; तो इससे भी ग्रामीण पर्यटन को बढ़ावा मिलेगा। ऐसी फिल्मों में मदर इण्डिया, गदर- एक प्रेम कथा, श्री 420 इत्यादि नाम बताया जा सकते हैं।
