Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

I wish every international or national corporate should be given a rule to set up companies in rural areas, where they would have to provide hospitals, schools, low-cost housing and free medical care, training, and then employment - but not on agricultural land.

Sir It is my own opinion that we should give emphasis on agricultural products as well as village base industry, Local market to sell the products, we have to give discount over all products for stands.

Government is trying to take every possible step to make farmers life easy. There are many things that we are able to do ourselves, such as getting government policy information, change in policy, suggestions, area of improvement, self awareness, skill upgradation, etc. We should try to upgrade our skills at every moment. Read, write and understand different languages, latest technology information in farming, irrigation, solar plants, etc. Our skills and govt. policies together can make India

In my opinion, we should bridge the digital gap and try to fill this gap at various levels. Such as online schooling, Wifi availability, Network, Smartphone usage, etc. My partner Japanese company have built an operating system to limit the use of apps for business purpose and not entertainment. This smartphone would enable farmers to procure latest information about farming, selling, buying etc. and kids for online education. We have donated several phones. Please call for info 9999399253.
