Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

भारत केवल ताजमहल किले मंदिर ही नहीं है सुदूर गांव में अनेक प्राचीन धरोहर, जल प्रपात,रमणीक वन,सब्जियां फल मसाले मेवे कॉफी चाय आदि उगाने के खेत बगीचे और प्रोसेसिंग कारखाने,छोटे मनोहरी कस्बे, पर्वतीय गांव गरम पानी के स्रोत आदी।भारत सुंदरता का समुद्र है। आवश्यकता इन स्थानों को अच्छे से विकसित करके जैसे यातायात और अन्य बुनियादी सुविधाएं देखकर आक्रामक बड़े पैमाने पर प्रचार की।इतनी विविधता के कारण विदेशी देसी पर्यटकों को बार-बार आने का आकर्षण होगा साथ ही दूर-दूर तक स्वपोषित विकास और रोजगार होगा ।

Dear Team, Below are some points that we need to take care to leverage tourism to Rural India: 1) Awareness should be created to the local villagers by the Panchayat Union leaders that our village will be a tourist spot , different nation will visit our place. 2) Transport facility via Road or Train should be developed from the nearest city 3) There are still many villages without proper drinking water facility, that should be improved 4) Infrastructure should be improved

So tourists will come to villages they must be provided activities to keep them busy and learn local skills. Some activities are 1. organic vegetable gardens 2. organic fruit orchards 3. organise local Kumhars to train them in making mud pottery 4. local level sports like wrestling, kabaddi, Teerandazi, Sword play under experts quidance if available in or nearby villages. It is given that stay in mud houses with all clean and modern amenities, barbeques, open dining is available.

Tourism place of any type, whether it is spiritual, historical, cultural, hill station, beach or adventure appeals or attracts people especially todays' photo addict generation and foreigners when it is clean, beautiful and organized. For this gov. shall use first, GIS tools to plan the place to make it more organized and accessible by multiple means. Second make efforts and rules to beautify the place. Third to maintain each tourist place create jobs under NREGA scheme to fund the manual work.

Sir gav ke vikas ke liye sabse pahle manav nirmit talab ka nirman kare aisi jagah jaha kabhi koe kam hone wala nhi hai taki hamare jamin me pani ki matra ko badhaya jaye aur gav kisan ko pani mil jaye aur usi talab pe machli palan ka kam shuru ho jayega to rojgar bhi uplabdh ho usi talab ko thoda devlop karne se waha tourist bhi aayenge to aur jada gav ka vikas hoga Hamare pas puri planing hai eski agar chahe to pura bata denge apko kam budget sab clear hoga . Sabka sath sabka vikas

पूरे देश में गुणवत्ता पर्यटन बुनियादी ढांचे का विस्तार मंत्रालय के कामकाज का एक महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्र है। योजना योजनाओं पर खर्च का पचास प्रतिशत से अधिक राज्यों और केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों के विभिन्न पर्यटन स्थलों और सर्किटों में गुणवत्ता वाले पर्यटन बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास के लिए खर्च किया जाता है।

ग्रामीण भारत मे कई ऐसे तीर्थस्थल है पर्यटक स्थल है जहां आसपास के ग्रामो में पर्यटकों के रुकने और आराम करने के लिए ग्रामीण परिवेश के अनुसार झोपड़ी नुमा साफ सुथरे कमरे बनाये जाय, देशी व्यंजन, वनोत्पाद को परोसने की व्यवस्था की जाय और उसका प्रचार किया जाय, तो निश्चित रूप से पर्यटक अपना ज्यादा समय देंगे और ग्रामो को फायदा होगा। अगर जंगल और कोई नदी है ये झोपड़ी उसके आसपास बनाने में सरकार मदद करेगी तो कारगर सिध्य होगा। वनों का संरक्षण भी होगा जिसकी जिम्मेवारी उन झोपड़ी के मालिकों की होगी।
