The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

Dear All First of all there is good news that i got a girl baby & she is so cute, in my opinion our government should have a government authorized shelter in every district so people can get news & benefit from government for girl & make the people sure that we are always with your daughter & for this you have to take the people in your custody so people can think that if any thing happend to me then my daughter wont have to face any problem & give advantage

Charity begins at home.If we want to bring change in our society,it must start at home.Male should be made aware and encouraged to look at girls as human beings not a burden.Besides it,fear of law is absolutely necessary to create safe environment for girl children .Once a girl starts to respect herself she will earn her confidence and discrimination would diminish automtically.

Sir, In the modern society "Beti Bachao" means protecting our small baby from rape when she is at school ("Beti Padhao") . As a father to 2.5 yr old daughter I don't have any courage to send my daughter to school in Bangalore especially. All these incidents are happening in so called international schools. Untill school management is given stricter punishment nothing is going to change. We don't have any hope on Karnataka gov. Statement from person like you will definitely impact

There can't be equality between a male & female child unless we eliminate Dowry System from our society. Dowry System is sole reason for every evil that girl child faces today. Girl Child is seen as financial burden. Even educated people take dowry proudly. There is show off of dowry in Tilak ceremony. Someone has to stop this. All Rules are not helping the cause. May be a message from our inspiring PM may act as deterrent for such activity. Take this issue seriously if we care for Girl Child.

The self esteem of girls would go up by economic independence. It is a fact that a financially independent woman enjoys more respect in today's fast changing world. We work harder than men to achieve the same level of success...I feel women empowerment should include girls and women with disability too.Disability makes a woman weaker and vulnerable in many ways.Mothers of girls with disability will come forward to help in various projects as they know how it feels to have one.

Sir,) In our country we can see a wide range of medical test (Pathological or radiology) prices and surgery procedure charges. For no reasons they are exorbitant. Govt. must analyse on cost and at least 10% profit basis and declare the minimum price of the test. Any hospital, lab or institute charging different from that has to explain reasons and take permission of higher prices. This will rationalize medical costs in the country. These costs must be judiciously reviewed every year.

Sir, We can ask CEO/CMD of every PSU or a organization having more than 5000cr investment to adopt a village. The organization people will carry out a need survey of the village like it is done for project affected persons and send one time proposal to expenditure commission/ planning commission who cut or add any thing but approve in one go or one meeting with sanctioned budget of one crore for the same. Let the approved proposal be implemented by that CEO/CMD. This will increase pace of prog
