The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

I am from the district which has lowest sex ratio in India(According to last year survey). I feel ashamed for it but happy to know that gov has taken this initiative. Apart from weird mentality the main cause is poverty.Pithoragarh is a remote district and quite ignored from development's point of view(but that is a long term solution, needs lot of time). For quick fix first gov should reach out to the last family living in Indo-Nepal, Indo-China border and make those people aware of the schemes.

Namsakar sir, me hamesha achi shikha ke prati chintit rahta hu or yah asha hai ki ap is or jaroor dhyana denge aj har gav or kashbe me jo shikshak pada rahe hai be kareeb 10-20 year se usi jagah pr hai. jis karan se be apni duity ke parti utne imandar nhi hai jitna ki hona chahiye. agar unko doosre block ya zile me transper kiya jaye to shiksha ki halt me jaroor sudhar hoga.

Each MLA/MLC/MP should be provided with additional financial aid, which is specifically dedicated to the "Beti Vidai Yojna". Each such member should fulfill the quota of say 100 marriages of daughters of under-privileged families. This can be done by arranging a common ceremony for such marriages. Khaadi products can also gifted during such occasions. There should be a rule that only those 18+ girls will be benefited by such scheme, which are at least 10th/12th std pass out.

there should be a free education for girls n every person should respect every girl the main reason for non study of girls is eve teasing n people always try to do wrong with girls.. n this thing stop girls to study first of all we common people should take a step forward for girls wherever we see any girl who is suffering with this problem.we should take stand with her i see many times people in dispute take revenge with girls with rape, acid attack that should be stop respect girls

GoI should launch some scheme for their marriage. This is very important because every parent is worried about their daughters' marriage. GoI with the help of State Govts can launch some scheme with common ceremony for marriage once a year in each Tehsil/gram say, "Bedi Vidai Yojana" to reduce the expenses of marriages. Put a condition for parents that their daughter should at least be either 10th/12th pass out. Also, can apply rule that greater the edu-qualification, greater the govt benefits.
