The Pasighat Municipal Council is conducting a MyGov Discussion Forum for its “Draft Smart City Proposal”. The proposal has been prepared taking into account citizens priorities and aspirations as part of the Round 2 of the "Smart City Challenge”.

In the past few months we all have worked hard towards making Pasighat a Smart and a credible city. The citizen feedback received at various stages of this competition have been carefully analysed to articulate the vision, goals and how the projects proposed in the Smart City Proposalis going toimprove the life of its residents.

The Citizen Interactions, expert opinions, and deliberations by departments have all contributed in developing this Smart City Proposal. The draft proposal will be finalized and submitted to MoUD once the citizen feedback on the draft proposal is incorporated.

Under SWOT (weakness) the following may also be mentioned: 1) High price due to high labour/ transportation charges (2) lacks marketing facility for local products (3) Lacks amusement and recreational park

Fire accidents are very common in Pasighat. I would like to have standpipes around the city for emergency purposes. Though it is not very common in India, had it been so many fire accidents would have been prevented.

I have read the draft smart city Proposal. It is a wonderful work for smart city Pasighat. Gandhi Chouk is a heart of Smart City Pasighat with all necessary amenities. It is real but the brain i.e. the schools of the Pasighat not seen in the draft. Smart Schools along-with smart classrooms should be included in the draft.

As systematic and proper way is concern.At present our sumo stand(counter) is not in proper way.Such places should be in a proper way as intelligent traffic system is concern.Need to be a systematic.Systematic and proper way will reduce space covering and will help in comfortable parking of vehicles.

Cyber security centre should be established. Helpline numbers and deployment of women security team may be introduce for safety of women.

High speed internet network for online business. Development of mobile app and web portal to pay utility bills. Adoption of bike sharing and car sharing to control pollution and save fuel. Criminal activity tracking through 24 x 7 CCTV surveillance.

Robust IT connectivity. Delivery of essential services through information technology. Quick accident relief mechanism. Introduction of face identification system to apprehend criminals.

As we know SCARCITY OF WATER is the biggest problem in our pasighat town especially in winter season.And if i am not wrong we don't have enough water resources from which town could be supplied adequate water as require.So,without constructing a dam,is there any possible way to generate water from mighty SIANG River? If so,then,such proposal should be taken under smart city proposal and I am sure it will solve water scarcity problem of our pasighat.

Intelligent Street light is an excellent idea. Use of Solar energy will require batteries which lasts for 2-3 years. Imagine the number of street lights Pasighat will have. Changing these batteries every 2-3 will require huge amount of money may be in crores. I don't have a solution for this...
