Manual scavengers are largely illiterate and have no exposure or aptitude for doing business or taking up self employment ventures.  This makes their rehabilitation in alternative occupations very challenging.

\

What are the ways in which the manual scavengers can be gainfully employed in other occupations, so that they do not return to manual scavenging? Participants may share success stories that they may be aware of.

MPs and opposition parties who do not find anything against the Railway or general budget, will shout against it saying our area is neglected for new railway line or development. Government should consider asking those opponents to get the land clearance within 2-3 months and then only come for a demand for new railway line, road ,irrigation canal or project. Committee of Local MPs and MLAs and Farmer representative should come out with solution and offer land for above projects.

When our country is progressing and adopting Make in India where we re-think on our swadeshi move..there I got surprised when I see the foreign car manufacturers welcome foreign delegates instead why can't we think something which is purely Indian.

We can ask all our mps and MLAs to provide protection gears to all the scavengers. The cleaning contract in railways and other departments can be given to them . panchayat controlled toilets and bathrooms can be put under the control o this society . this will help them to generate money. We can help them to stand on their own. Panchayat level workers can be paid directly. If we remove them from the clutches of govt employees and panchayat presidents we can eliminate discrimination.

Dear Modiji we have a huge area of wasteland in every town, village & city which can be used to produce solar energy and the roads can also be covered with solar cells to produce solar energy, nearly 20% area of Indian land is covered by roads so they can be used as a major source of solar electricity. Not only that the solar cells will help to reduce heat in summer and will also work as shelters for people. This can become a remarkable breakthrough for our country so please consider about it.

Teach the present staff to assemble a toilet for groups of houses. An international study says that one toilet can service six persons in the morning. Calculate the required number of toilets cum bath rooms. Start with the cluster village through Panchayats. Entrust the work to Imperumkuzhu( A group of the Five Performers), with a Time Bound Action Plan, and entrust the work of continuous monitoring to the group of Eight People( Enperayam). Build the power structure from the village upwards .
