I am living in Allahabad. Its my suggestion that drains are opened in both river Ganga & Jamuna. This should be stop with immediate effect. The Allahabad city sewer treatment plants are working and works performed by their workers are absolutely appreciable. But sewage opening on the bank of the both rivers should be duct to the treatment plant and after treatment water should be channelize for irrigation. This will be a great help for farmers during summer season and during late monsoon.

Sir, The most shocking pattern in primary and secondary education all over India is that govt is allowing to open english medium schools without grant without any limit as we see in Maharashtra. Hence, thousands of english medium schools have opened but hardly any marathi medium school during last 15 yrs. Macaulay has become monster now due to this. New generation cant read marathi now and read about our holy books and even Shivaji etc.Pl start marathi schools on large scale. Very serious issue.

To Increase tourism, we need to have proper guidelines of all the prices and the charges. Taxi Drivers, Temple Pandit's demand more money, no proper prices at temple pooja's list. Tourists are always get cheated. When i visited Bengaluru and Chennai there are daily bus services to all the important places in the city. The city tour bus service which will be hop on service, which display CLEAN GANGA ads and charge fair price , i'm sure tourists will like to visit the city.

IF GST RATES ARE PEGGED AT 14%, NO LOSS TO EXCHEQUER? WITH STRINGENT CHECKS AND ENFORCEMENT OF LAW COMPLIANCE, CASH ECONOMY WILL DEFINITELY SHRINK AND MOST TRANSACTIONS WILL BE ON RECORD. OVERALL VOLUMES WILL INCREASE ON DEALERS’ BOOKS AND SO WILL THE STATES' REVENUE. NO NEED TO COMPENSATE AFTER THREE YEARS, ALL STATES MUST HAVE INCREASED THEIR REVENUE COLLECTIONS BY THEN; THEY MUST EITHER ENSURE COMPLIANCE OR PERISH, IN THREE YEARS' PERIOD. SMART MOVE BY MODI GOVT.

Being a federal state this mechanism can only be implemented if all states agreed upon. I guess the above mechanism can also be fine-tuned after discussion with all states. Even the state can implement it at local levels i.e. city to city or district to district like measuring pollution level when river enters District or city A and a suitable pollution tax is imposed.

Let’s take an example of Ganga, its pollution need to be measured at Gomukh (Uttaranchal) then again it need to be measured in Haridwar (i.e. exit point) Now based on the difference a penalty amount need to be worked out. And imposed to state. Similarly it should be measured for Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal and if pollution is high then a penalty need to be imposed.

All of us wants to save our rivers. We want them neat and clean. Nothing substantial has been achieved in 50 years. I have few thoughts The mechanism to deal with river pollution is to penalize polluting states, cities and municipal corporations. Center to measure pollution need to be established at the point river is entering and exiting out of state. Now based on the pollution difference a penalty amount need to be imposed to that state for polluting the river.
