I have a query for the moderator. Does these suggestions and discussions monitored by any authority and will any of these will be taken into consideration while formulizing any schemes or plans? Otherwise its just a waste of time for all of us.

Major polluter in case of Ganga or any river in our country is the discharge of sewage into these rivers. Need of the hour is to have proper sewage disposal system not only in urban but rural parts of the country as well. Replacing age old sewage pipes and laying of new lines in areas were we are still using pits along with this proper sewage treatment plants to treat this waste and recycle the water which can be use for irrigation purposes.

Simple, along the flow at specified intervals (latitude & longitude points thru GPS) collect river water samples during different time of the day. Sent these samples for lab testing. Clearly the origin of pollution can now be established. Once the pollution is identified between the GPS co-ordinates, now identify the polluter in that co-ordinate. Action to be taken against these polluters to ensure corrective measure is taken from re-occurring. 2/3

Jai hind sir, “Please don’t throw money in running water” Offsetting these savings can be used for, dwellings for poor and or building toilets. Let us clean our own backyard, engaging a foreigner is like self-humiliating us, and the world mocks. River ganga is 2,500 KM long. To understand river pollution, we first need to understand the origin of pollution and the nature of this pollution. 1/2

Prevention is better than cure. Likewise, first we have to prevent the wastes entering into the river. This will be the first and foremost step. Then, Cleaning process should be undertaken. I know this is a huge task and time consuming. But, we support it till its complete clean.
