A large number of tribal people and other forest dwellers derive their source of livelihood from the collection and marketing of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) which provides them essential food, nutritional, medicinal needs and cash income also. As the business of MFP is different from the traditional ones, it denies due benefits. While government supported Corporations and Federations trade in some MFPs, a large number of these are traded freely in the market which is also not very helpful to the gatherers as MFP production is highly dispersed spatially and because of the poor accessibility of these areas, a competitive market does not exist. As a strategic interventions to ensure fair returns for the MFPs to the gatherers/collectors, the Government has come up with a new scheme of Mechanism for Marketing of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) through Minimum Support Price (MSP) and Development of Value Chain for MFP.

Through the MyGov Platform, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, seeks suggestions/information from all section of the society regarding innovative ideas for value addition to the MFPs, processing and marketing of MFPs, traditional skill and skill development, etc.

All the Minor forest Product can register their phone number with Product information into Nationalize computer system. Producer can forecast how much product they can produce today or next 7 days. He / She can send a SMS to a particular no / call at toll free number to update about their product. Example a SMS like to 55555. If we have a solid granular information about product and availability date, then it is very easy can be consider as organize retails.

There is a need to first identify what we want to call "Minor Forest Produce" Some suggestions 1) Creating a natural dye and herb garden in each state ( like the Nunobiki Herb Garden in Japan) setting up a small manufacturing plant on the premises will enable small scale manufacturing. The place can be run and managed with the help of local partnership with profit sharing. This will work as a great tourist destination too. 2) Creating plantations for silk cultivation specially tussar

1) No taxes / vat/ cst etcc... on them 2) Mandatory for super market stores (more, d-mart, spencers etc...) to sell their products for first 3 years and incentive for such super stores. This will be fast & effective marketing.

forest ke log aur gramid log jo ki bahut he garib hai ase logo ke liye vishish prakar ke hostal jinme inke rahane aur khane ki puran vyastha ho tha us he hostalnuma compound mai forest se prapt vanspati ka upyog kar ke kuteer udhyog lagaye jane chhiye jis se ki jangal se prapt chijo ka upyog karke desh ki income bhi badaye ja sake avam inke bachho ko padane ki alg vyastha honi chhiye. aur yah vyavastha rahane aur khane ki puri jindagi hogi is baat ki guarantee sarkar ko dane chahiye .

Rope in the youth of the tribal group to educate their parents. The youth can be the link between the government. They have to be the ones connected to the marketing, collection, distribution of the produce. 2. Prepare a website for the produce. Rope in companies to ensure packing of the produce with a barcode. Let the products be entered directly onto the website by the person who has brought them to the collection centre, which has collection ATMS.Once put in, no one can take out the produce.

Establish a group whose task is to find benefits of such produces for health, taste of such produces.... in the time of innovative cooking, these can create new dishes an flavours.

1.First identify the product of the locality. 2.A small Quality control and packaging plant in a centrally located area of 4-6 villages. 3.Hear only the villagers will get the claque for their their products whiten 48 hours. 4.Now send them to the marketing agency directly. 5.Marketing company can put their level of their won but they have to maintained the name of state, district,village. This will certainly increase tourist in some locality.
