Since both Central & State Goverment contribution on Public Health care is just 30% that too on Government Employees & Public sector Employees , whereas 70% of Poor people pay for their Health care from their pockets. Therefore both Central government & State Goverment should reduce all types of Sales taxes & Customs Duty on Drugs, Pharma, Medical Devices, Medical Equipments,Medical Instruments.Private Health care units do great job but Special Units should monitor their Profits & Tax them.

Qualified doctors who spend one year in a rural area will be paid the same as in a good private hospital and be entitiled to no Income Tax for the next 2 years/interest free loan from a public sector bank for Rs (10 lakhs?) repayable over (10?) years

NURSING: raise profile of the profession. Create "care-giver" culture from early school level. Teach hygenic ways of dealing with care-giving for home-care: use of gloves. PUBLICITY: Feature films and tele-serials to showcase nursing and medicine as noble, prestigious, with gratitude of patients and their families. Women and men as care-givers and nurses. International opportunities for nurses with global ageing population. Sure route for employment. Also to freelance.

Euthanisia to be made legal, obviously under clear conditions. Persons to declare that they will opt for euthanisia well before any such condition actually happens in their lives. For children, parents can take the call. Mode: lethal dose mixed in one of 3 saline pouches, kept with the patient. No one will know if the drip they give is "the" one, to obviate personal guilt.

MEDICO-LEGAL: Formally indemnify the persons who bring an accident or injured patient to the hospital for treatment. Neither police nor the Hospital should punish people who want to help a fellow citizen. If the person gives his or her name then they cannot be implicated in the case but may be called as wittness only once or asked to write a statement, without signing it.

I think we can make Healthy India more better by using skill of Doctors in respective fields in Govt. Hospitals. e.g. in present scenerio Ophthalmologist is doing GP. At the same time Doctor should only treat the patients not shoul be engaged in other types of work. For administratve work instead of Doctors , Administrators should be employed .

Make it compulsory for all clinics and hospital OPDs to maintain an electronic file for all patients registered there, including their being prescribed with anitbiotics, tests done and results, etc. so a medical history of even illiterate patients can be maintained and accessed by the treating physician.

Universal Heathcare: Tertiary Healthcare providers to be trained at Block level from the local population, so that at least there are a few local caregivers.
