The draft NHP 2015 has been formulated and placed in public domain for stakeholder consultations. Suggestions/comments/feedback are invited on the policy which inter-alia include the following broad areas: goals, principles, objectives, policy directions, Investment, Preventive and Promotive Health, Organisation of Public Health Care Delivery, Human Resources for Health, Financing of Health Care and engaging the private sector, Regulatory framework, Medical technologies, ICT for Health and Health Information Needs, Knowledge for Health, Governance, Legal framework for healthcare and the Right to Health.

The last date for submission of your comments is 10th February, 2015.

Govt should stop giving free medicines to patients so that corruption on the name of free medicine can be controlled, instead of that govt should provide diagnostic testing on large scale in each and every hospital at nominal charges to public...

Policy should be well written on Standards of methods and tools which Classification of Diseases,Burden of Disease updates, MDGs monitoring tools; development and measurement of Health System Metrics; and standards for electronic medical records. A key role will be played by expert groups, including the Advisory Committee/Monitoring committees for Health Monitoring and Statistics. and reflection of commitment towards the epidemics response by political fraternity

There are lot of ayurvedic OTC medicines (including chywanprash) from reputed companies. There are rumours that these medicines have heavy metals and steroids. These things should be checked by government and appropriate action should be taken

Policy should be on Tracking performance and political commitment and Establish a set of core and additional health system metrics to track health system performance for use by countries and external agencies financing investments in health systems.

Policy should reflect on stronger national surveillance and response capacity Public health systems that are equipped with up-to-date technologies and dedicated personnel and are able to detect, investigate, communicate and contain threats to public health security, and be part of an unbroken national line of defence against such threats.

I strongly recommends to provide diagnostic testing of communicable diseases like swine flue, dengu fever, Ebola fever etc at large scale and at nominal charges for general public in every govt and private hospitals by Govt of India so that spread of such diseases can be prevented....

Avoid parallel reporting systems where possible, and promote single reporting to development partners. Nation can build the support the use of new data collection and data management technologies where appropriate.

Organic,plastic and hazardous wastes are dumped at public places, causing threat to public health.All commercial establishments should find there on solutions to dispose wastes in scientific manner and the municipalities shall give them guidelines/directions which will be mandatory.The municipalities shall monitor the waste management. Commercial establishments shall be charged/fined for generating wastes and they should fined if they do not follow waste management principles.

redesign of training programmes to produce the spectrum of health workers (service providers and management and support workers) to deliver health services. It will explore and document ways to maximise the use of priority programme training initiatives, and mechanisms such as accreditation to assure quality of training programmes.

Rights and responsibilities of citizens with regard to their health, and support their incorporation into national policy and practice. It will encourage effective use of the media in promoting health and the engagement of civil society organizations in service delivery planning and oversight, as a means to provide all those who need care, especially the poor and other vulnerable groups, with the confidence that they will be treated decently, fairly and with dignity.
