A Committee on Net Neutrality has submitted its report to the Department of Telecommunications. Its recommendations broadly contain technical, regulatory and public policy related measures required with respect to Net Neutrality issue.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is also currently engaged in consultation process on the issue whose recommendations are awaited.

It is emphasized that the views expressed in the report are that of the Committee and not of the Government. Your valuable comments, wide scale consultations, as also the report of the TRAI will help the Government to take appropriate decision on the issue.

We must raise our voice against the proposed arrangements by the government that are regressive and only benefit a handful of companies. We need zero net neutrality..... There should be no discrimination in our usage. India can't be digital if you are opposing #NetNeutrality I support development of India and we need India to be digital for that. So we want #NetNeutrality. Jay Hind !!!

Jaago Sarkaar Jaago !!! The DoT Report noted that a free and open Internet, available to all Indian citizens, is key to our country's future. Despite that, telcos are already violating net neutrality and endangering that future. The Govt should pass regulation immediately to protect net neutrality in India - the status quo of mere promises is not enough. The Govt must commit to protecting net neutrality in law in India. Don't take 5 years to decide this.

I Support Net Neutrality. It should not be defined by telecom companies. There should be full transparency (no business or legal jargon) between the consumer and telecom agencies. Every individual in the country should have the right to have full access to the Internet without any changes in the browsing quality or any form of bias towards particular sites. Internet is ours and it should remain neutral.

I DON'T WANT Net Neutrality to be defined by telecom companies. I DON'T WANT telecom companies to control WHAT we access on the Internet and they CAN'T charge us money for accessing certain websites/applications on the Internet. I WANT to be able to access anything, at any time, without having to pay more for it separately. I DON'T WANT licensing for Whatsapp, Viber or any other app we use. Access to ALL content on the internet should be accessible to every Indian citizen

I am paying for full and complete unfettered access to the internet. I do not want anybody giving things for free, I want what is due to me. Do not start regressive license raj system again. It only kills innovation and novelty, by regulating whatsapp, viber and any other things as may be. The govt. is to be the public servant, do not try to be our father and try to give us unwanted gyaan and outdated advice. if ISPs cant give the customer what the customer wants then let them shut shop

I want complete net neutrality and not the one supported by telecom companies. I am completely against licensing of apps like whatsapp and viber. i want everyone to use everything over the internet free of cost.

I support net neutrality - which means access to EVERYTHING, not just by EVERYONE. No extra or special charges for specific sites and services. No licences required for whatsapp, skype, viber etc. Access to whatever site I want to visit, whenever I want. The telecom companies should not get to lead policy on which services get to be free and which are charged. Each byte of date should be priced the same. This is net neutrality and it is my right.

I'm in for net neutrality.. As followed all around the world. Forget a digital India if net neutrality cannot be implied upon. These telcos are increasing the cost, yesterday I charged my 2g Vodafone one month for 199-which used to be 125 a year back. Help needed
