A Committee on Net Neutrality has submitted its report to the Department of Telecommunications. Its recommendations broadly contain technical, regulatory and public policy related measures required with respect to Net Neutrality issue.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is also currently engaged in consultation process on the issue whose recommendations are awaited.

It is emphasized that the views expressed in the report are that of the Committee and not of the Government. Your valuable comments, wide scale consultations, as also the report of the TRAI will help the Government to take appropriate decision on the issue.

Today the internet stands as "The Fifth Estate". ISP's should not trample Indian citizens freedom by slyly forming nexus with fascist policies of Govt to thwart people's dissent against pro-corporate decisions of NDA government. Internet today stands as basic right of an individual & let not Capitalist market & fascist leadership destroy our freedom.

I DON'T WANT Net Neutrality to be defined by telecom companies. I DON'T WANT telecom companies to control WHAT we access on the Internet and they CAN'T charge us money for accessing certain websites/applications on the Internet. I WANT to be able to access anything, at any time, without having to pay more for it separately. I DON'T WANT licensing for Whatsapp, Viber or any other app we use. Access to ALL content on the internet should be accessible to every Indian citizen #NetNeutrality

Net neutrality means access to anything and everything on the internet without any discrimination to any particular content/service/application. 2. I DON'T WANT telecom companies to control WHAT we access on the Internet. They CAN'T charge us money for accessing certain websites/applications while on the Internet. They are already charging for the data. 3. I DON'T WANT licensing for Whatsapp, Viber or any other app we use.

We dont want net neutrality as defined by telecom operators, The Internet should be free for all,We want access to internet, all website all the time and not some select parts. We don't want telcos defining what we access on the internet. the telecom operators and service providers cant charge differnt for differnt websites We dont want licennses for any applications like whatsapp viber or any other application etc.#NetNeutrality, #DepartmentofTelecommunications, #TelecomRegulatoryAuthorityofIn

#NetNeutrality is something very important which keeps competition healthy in the world of internet. It never makes any sense to pay more over internet which is already paid to the service operators just because they say so. They are already over charging us for SMS and phone calls, also internet. But beyond that if they again want to charge over the TOP services, it is just corporate greediness. I don't support internet.org as well as charging over the top services. #saveinternet

Net neutrality should aim for the benefits of indian citizens. It should not aim to increase profits of the corporates by selling by citizen's private transactions.
