Indian Olympic Association (IOA) is the National Olympic Committee of India and is recognized by the International Olympic Committee. IOA is, inter alia, responsible for the preparation and participation of Indian sportspersons and teams in the Olympic Games as well as in Regional events like Commonwealth and Asian Games. The other responsibilities undertaken by the IOA include deciding the organisation of National Gamesand promoting and developing the Olympic Movement.

National Sports Federations (NSFs) are responsible for promotion and development of specific sports disciplines. Conduct of National championships and participation of Indian sportspersons and teams of a specific sports discipline in World Championships, Asian Championships and Commonwealth Championships, among others, is responsibility of the concerned NSF.

IOA and NSFs are autonomous bodies registered under Societies Registration Act. Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has been insisting with IOA and NSFs to ensure transparency and good governance in their functioning and selection of sportspersons for participation in international tournaments.

The last date for submission of your comments is 7th June, 2015.

1.Firstly all the non-sports persons should be removed from IOA. 2.IOA should comprise of all sports persons from different fields, that will monitor the working of all the federations. 3.The term of IOA members should be from olympics to olympics, then the terms should be renewed. 4.The federations should also comprise of the players from that field. 5.The funds allocated to the IOA should be regularly scrutnized.

Like decentralisation of power from top to panchayat and sarpanch, even the power of sport ministry should be decentralised to every sarpanch and panchayat. As well as there should be an office to oversee these institutions in every district and then state and an independent fund allotment to each office from the most primary level.

There should be one government sports committee in every state so that right sportman could be selected from these committee and the the association leading member would be chosen by the sportsman only. In india i could say there are many talent that are un-noticed or ignored by politics. So all these talent should come up in front so that we put our best talent in world level competition. All these committee would be available for sportsman with out any cost.
