Sports Authority of India (SAI) has five Stadia in Delhi viz. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Swimming Pool Complex and Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges. The sprawling Stadia were built for 1982 Asian Games and were later renovated/ reconstructed for the Commonwealth Games-2010 and have potential to generate revenue by way of organising sports and non-sports events.

(3) We need sportsmen who take up sports as a "career", and not those who take up sports as a means to get admission in a university or get a job in a govt job. So please remove sports quota in universities and govt jobs. Instead bring a scheme that would pay some pension to sportsmen who win medals, after they retire (i.e. age of 40). Or govt can support such sportsmen to open sports coaching centres in their towns/villages.

Organize tournaments between different schools and colleges in the stadiums every year. Gather as much as sponsors for the event, or get the advertisements for the same on large scale through out the city. In this manner the youth will be attracted and motivated for the future tournaments and practice harder. The tougher the competition the more spectators participation there. The sponsors would also look for generating revenues for them and put more money into the sponsorships.

(1) Like we have reality shows for singing (Indian Idol etc) and dancing, why can't we have reality shows for selecting the best talent in each sport? That way, the talent can be identified and groomed and the TV channels can also make money. (2) Govt must NOT demoralize sportsmen. There are many cases where a State's CM announces a reward of 10 lakh or 1 Crore for a sportsman who wins some medal but the money does NOT reach the sportsman at all.

Simple thing take lakhs of children age between 5-10 years . give military training to them and make them perfect in one sport. India will get all Olympic medals. And every state people has some strength, genetic powers example north east people body is suitable to gymnastics, biharis can play kabaddi, south can play chess, Kerala can boating.... Identify their powers. Give training. And follow some methods from China...
