India is the World’s second largest producer of Fruits & Vegetables. However, the processing of perishable products in our country is very low, in comparison to the developed countries or developing countries like China, Brazil, Malaysia, Vietnam, etc. One of the main constraints in the growth of processing of fruits & vegetables in the country is non-availability of modern and suitable infrastructure with efficient supply Chain. Consequently, there is very high level of wastage of the fruits & vegetables in the country resulting in the farmer not getting adequate remuneration for his yield. A study conducted by Central Institute of Post Harvesting Engineering Technology (CIPHET), Ludhiana, an ICAR institute, reveals that wastage in various agricultural crops in the country range from 6-18% and the highest loss has been shown in fruits and vegetables.

Ministry of Food processing Industries invites views/ suggestions for reduction of these losses.

Last date for sending your suggestions is 1st February 2015.

direct supply system with online booking with govt. by retail seller or wholesale seller .than how many order are placed when remove from farm by farmers and pay through net banking. every farmer in their villege get his own id for online sellng at villege govt.internet mitra or e mitra. with pics of fruits & veges.

Fruits and vegetables are perishable items. I suggest following 1) harvest of these items should be promoted in surrounding areas of metros and cities 2) fields should be connected with cities through high speed highways. 3) real time data of crops should be available so that demand supply gaps could be identified in advance and supplies can be routed to markets with short supply of items. 4) railways can be very effective in transportation provided it's services are raised to deal with fruits

When will chandivali vidhan sabha-168 will have a strong leadership.in chandivali vidhan sabha it still looks like congress government in maharastra still exist and the bjp party workers are still under its influence.when will they woke up and make chandivali a clean n corruptless assembly.can any leader or party worker will answer to my question ?Jai hind jai maharastra.

We can reduce post harvest losses in supply chain of fruits & vegetable through cold storages.govn. should with the help of private sector,establish cold storage at each tehsil.when in big quantity any such item comes to market,price of that iteam reduce drasrically.some time purchsers are not found and fruits or vegetables have to throw on roads.some time their is sacricity of these iteam ,the common people has to pay too much amount.we can stop this thing with the help of coldstorage.

chandivali vidhan sabha has seven wards and none of the office bearers seems to have any interest in taking forward the agenda of our honourable prime minister of swacha bharat mission and many other such initiatives taken by Hon.prime minister of india and his team.when the whole india have awaken to the call of Hon. PM,I feel sorry to see the dull face of bjp party office bearer in chandivali vidhansabha.its aimless with no direction to go.i share this with regret.

Respected Prime minister,the,The national president and the chief minister my heartiest congratulations for BJP forming government in maharstra state on its own.I am the resident of mumbai,chandivali state assembly 168.The BJP Local leadership is very poor and negligible atleast on assembly level its negligible moreover the local party office bearers are aimless and leaderless.The modi wave have encapsulated the whole of india but chandivali vidhan sabha is leaderless.

Population explosion is one major concern that indian government has to take care.we are a country with people of different belief and religions we must understand and accept the facts that natural resources are limited and will get exhausted in near future if we do not control this population explosion be it any government ,any agencies,policy makers, infra developments or social thinkers everything will fail before population explosion.we need to check n control population explosion.

Dear Modi Sir, This is to Pointed out that Amul Milk Price got almost doubled in 1 Year from Normal Milk Price from 25 to 40 Rs. as There are giving the Reasons of Diesel Price Hike, Plastic Rates hike as You are aware that Milk is necessity of Every Citizen and Amul Guys does not decrease any price in Case of reduction of Diesel Rate or any other as There are just targetting to Increase only .... Please, Solve this issue of Every Citizen as No Citizen is ready to Sought on the same

Make in India is not good for us since our country, unlike China, has just enough natural resources like land, water, minerals, energy, forest cover, etc. to support its own population. Precious irreplaceable resources like land & water would be used to produce unnecessary goods. All sorts of polluting industries would set up shop over here. Rampant environmental degradation will happen. Only industries like software, product desigining, R&D, which use our intellectual capital be encouraged

Respected Sir, In an article in Indian Express I have read that soldiers posted in the Kashmir region do not get good winter boots which they have to purchase from the open market from their own money. You must look into this. My suggestion is that you along with Defense Minister must meet Army men and BSF personnel posted in various border areas and inquire about the problems faced by them at the ground level. Whether the suggestions given here are read?
