One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

We (supporters of the BJP Govt.) are totally demoralized, since a universal appeal from the masses to reduce fuel prices is not acted upon with agility. Information from the ministry is that, Govt. is mulling for a long term solution. Situation is similar to that of a serious patient in ICU and doctors taking their own time to find a long term treatment, while the patient dies. In this case the patient's name is "trust with the Govt". Sir, please ease the citizen’s life.

Dear PM sir, Car number plat should be pre installed with its' vehicle no. with the manufacture stage. It is not necossary that after delivery, owner have to install vehicle no. plat out side the market with extra cost. This is unnecessary practice all over India

To start with I thank Hon PM very much for seeking sincerely "sabaka saath, sabaka vikas". I am sure many useful suggestions will pour in from the citizens and the Gov will do its best to incorporate as many good suggestions in day to day actual working. I join a participant who suggested that there should be minimum assured income for people to live life happily. Pension amount to Senior Citizens should be increased in phases to Rs 2,000/- per month and go upto Rs 5,000/- per month. Anil Doshi

make it compulsory for hospitals to offer digital medium of payment for amount above 15000, demonetization was a good step however to ensure the cash generation is curtailed need to check on the high cash transactions, hospital is one place where this is rampant, restrict to non cash transactions above a certain amount.

Link Aadhar for blood donation and let the donor receive blood without exchange option terms, in times of urgency anywhere in India, this will encourage people to come and donate blood. link all the blood banks, and make it more transparent, since many still fill that giving blood at camps is of no use as you need to give exchange when you need it or have to go to that specific bank where you have donated, make it somewhat like our bank account with ATM.

Healthcare is a basic need of a citizen and today it has become a costly thing, the root cause of the same is in the system itself. For eg. If a student takes admission in MBBS in the private institution, the cost comes to around Rs. 1 to 1.50 crores and after becoming a Doctor, his average salary is Rs. 80K to Rs. 100K. If he takes loan for his study in MBBS from bank, the monthly interest comes to Rs. 1 to Rs. 1.50 lac and he cannot even repay his interest with his salary. In this situation,
