One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

I hereby like to share my views related to the water level falling down in India.Like many other schemes like toilet scheme, solar power subsidy scheme if you could encourage the rain water harvesting .you can start one more scheme related to harvesting.in this way it would be helpful for rising water level up.

Honourable Modiji Our banking clearing system for chq should b updated where the chq should get clear in one day which at presently they req minimum 2 days. If this is done the trader will get funds earlier which helps them for utilization & may generate revenue for nation. This shall not only save time but also money and paper along with jobs creation for a minimum of 50000 peoples.

Sir, For easing lives of citizens I wish to tell that Govt of India must encourage Ayurveda Pharmacy and its dispensaries all over India in major cities, towns etc. Also, GST on Ayurvedic medicines must not be more than 5%. There must be proper research in Ayurvedic medicines, and there must be a website of GOI which could showcase and publish various diseases and its cures in Ayurveda. Further, food plays important role. websites could show which seasonal food is suitable & what to avoid.

Dear Sir/Madam, I would like express my views on the plight of honest tax payers several hundred thousands of people. I am one of them who pays Income tax over a lakh rupees a year however when it comes to availing any services from govt. we are treated on par with non tax payers. There should be some privileges for Tax payers over others who don't pay income tax despite having enough income. I suggest to bring special privileges for Tax payers. This will also encourage tax othersfor taxpayment

Herewith, I would like to draw your kind attention on such an issue of gender-inequality. Sir, in any job form and government form and private forms of various services, there is always a column to mention "wife-of"...... if a women get married to a male but there is no such column for male to mention "husband-of"....... if they got marry to a women. If our constitution of India, treated male and female equally, then I have humble request to you to look into this point of inclusion. thanking you

Resp Modiji I want to suggest compulsory army services after schools to build nation loving youth. At least one year of army service after 12th std should be mandatory for every capable student. So that our somehow directionless youth will understand their national duties and selection at army will be easy for rural youth. Current education system is fail in this regard. It's difficult to implicate but strong will at govt can do anything for national interest. Love and respect.

Agriculture is not industrialized in India, because of the complex Land Laws, It also prevents the foreign company to invest in factories and assets in India. We are ruling Indian land and Agriculture laws from pre-historic British way, They has to be changed for development of India. Acquisition of Farm/Agriculture land has to be easy. eg. I am farmer from Rajasthan, so I am agriculturist still I CANNOT BUY AGRICULTURE LAND IN GUJARAT!!!.Just because my father is rajasthani!!!!

Add the Dual Citizenship to the constitution, this will allow India to retain the citizenship for the people who left citizenship just because they cannot have dual citizenship, with that we lost the hope of them coming back to india. Dual citizenship also allows many foreign experts to locate India as a better living place, generally less foreigners are opting in for Indian citizenship only because they do now want to leave their native citizenship. Win-win for both sides.
