One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

Respected sir, I have one idea of sharing the development work to all the citizen of country using technology. Just like RTI we should have the rights to know the development work going on our area, just for example one new road has been constructed but how much money and time has been allotted for that work, each detail should be updated in some online forum and it should be made mandatory for all work. Like RTI one new law should be made like RTID(Right to information for development).

Digitalisation of STAMP PAPER We should change the form of stamp paper from paper to digital form It should be issued in digital form online, with given serial number statewise or pincode wise Advantages: 1Save paper: By which it will help to save environment 2Save cost: As stamp papers are of high quality paper, by digitalizing it will save huge expense on paper 3Can stop fraud: As fraud people use Back Dated stamp papers and commits crime,it will stop since the digital stamp papers

I have a suggestion on easing road traffic congestion – keep the road dividers adaptable/which can be easily shifted. In many cities and on high ways, many times roads in one direction get jammed. At such times, if the road dividers are shifted to the other side and the congested road is widened, the jammed traffic can be eased. For example, on highways or major roads, the road dividers should be shifted by a lane on the other direction to ease traffic congestion e.g.as at San Francisco.

Respected sir, To have a better civilized society we should focus on education at school level. we should start educating children to follow rules .e.g. follow traffic rules, cooperate with police, always give way to ambulance or fire brigade etc. Such messages should be displayed at major advertisement locations as well as on media .i.e. TV, Radio, internet, Newspaper etc. To improve quality of life please focus on health, food, roads, electricity, safety, environment issues.

State bank of India has many apps..like SBI any where, YONO, buddy... why lots of app? why we are vesting our money on different app..( Only IT company get benefit). Better Reserve bank should select only one App and make it UNIFORM.
