One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

On this platform I read a post by someone who viewed that local body elections should be scrapped.I fully support the view.Yaar ye jobs ki vacancies badhti ghatti rahti hai, saalo saal aati bhi nahi aur koi timing bhi nahi hai inke form ka or results ka. Online exams ke baad bhi result utne he samay me aata hai,fee bhi wahi hai, centres bhi ekke dukke hi badhen hongen. To online se to students ko benefit hua hi nahi sirf papers bache.Par elections sahi samay pe hoten hai, seats bhi fix rehti hai

Illiteracy is maximum amongst Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other backward classes who are not only poor, but unaware, unconcerned and unwilling to improve and change their lot. Illiteracy deprives people not only of economic development but also of all benefits of education, reading, writing, etc. remaining within the darkness of ignorance, poverty and impoverishes. It is essential that the Government of India rises up to the occasion.

Hon'able Prime Minister, I feel instead of smart cities, smart economic corridors in between two cities or town or even at regular intervals will change the development spectrum to still higher level. Stress on existing cities- Infrastructure, population, water & sewage system will be taken care, traffic will move outside towards corridor, residences, infrastructure and amenities will increase employment. The rural areas nearby economic corridor will get facilities, employment & development.

Appealing to youths to participate for making “NEW INDIA” is not enough, the need is to bring the “Groups of Youths” to come forward and the Central Government will provide the Project to carry out manually and with full infrastructure support.  The leading project could be construction of “ROADS THROUGH OUT INDIA” manually with supporting facilities and necessary machines. Technology developed at Madhuri Engineering College may be used with targeted time limit and quality.

Hon’ble Prime Minister, “NEW INDIA CONCLAVE” from Vigyan Bhawan and submit: - Fabulous money declared to have spent on various welfare and development projects and their achievements. It is also declared that 65% of 130 million population is young, while the youths are wasting their time either unemployed or underemployed. Than how this energy will get channelized for making “NEW INDIA”? Appealing to youths to participate for making “NEW INDIA” is not enough, the need is ground approach.
