One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

Senior citizens who paid heavy income tax all their lives deserve tax free pension plus income from interest on deposits up to 5 lakh. As it is even ONGC pays no pensionary benefit to former employees whose income exceeds just Rs 10000 per month

Is there anything happening in Tamil Nadu other than swindling? Banners on the roads by digging the sides of the road. What right does the local politicians have to do such things? Ban all the political hoardings. Punish and penlaise them who are doing. In our area there are 4 kalyan mandapams and for every wedding there is a big hoarding with the politicians name along with the couple photos? For what a chance to make money for politicians and spoling the road and causing a huge traffic jam .

The following ideas could supplement in easing lives of citizens. 1) Brodcasting content in media that exhort communal strife in society should be banned. 2) Brodcasting vulgar and sensual materials on air should be discontinued as it aggravates mind's of youngsters. 3) Positive news also should feature in the media as an compulsion rather than day and night telecasting of obstructive elements as it will add in inculcating goodwill in society.

Priy PradhanMantri Ji.. Please change the education system or pattern which is not changed since independence. Public is not awaring about moral values which were in the syllabus before british india. our population will be major threat for future, before that we should need to educate the people with Niti Mulyas from childhood. Still we are facing the smoking in public place, may be there is law but who cares. We developed by roads, technology etc but still public spit on roads, public places.

The internet cabling guys had actually duct the roads and left it as it is . They had actually left the cables lying on the road just like that which will cause anybody who drivers will get caught in the cables and fall. First we need an authority to make sure and keep a track and give the basic necesscity to the citizens like good road without pot holes, water, drainage, cleanliness, non parking of vehicles on the roads, good public transports with faster mode which is properly connected.

Before we plan for smart city and building bridges etc., we have to fix the drainage system, electricity and the telephone cablings. A small rain is causing such a big hindrances for the common people. Just make the vips, ministers, municipal councillors to walk in such an unfilthy environment.. let them understand what a common citizens real issues are. Stop laying the roads on top again and again and making the houses low level from the road which is the main course for the water int the house
