One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

Why the IAS or any other officials must not visit at least a village on daily basis as a official duty and report the issues and resolve? Why no one is visiting the village health centers, schools and their condition as a official duty? Why we are not creating a online portal where any one can complain on any thing and that is to be taken care and the officers accountable are liable to close and report? National Portal for complaints.

Sir India deserves to be on top of the world. For which you should be continue as PM . As such some steps have to be taken in the interest of the nation.I will be brief in the matter. First the IT exemption Tobe raised to 5 lakhs and the Tax slabs to be modified as 5 10 15 20 25 and 30 per cent. All the salaried class will be happy. Further the IT department should focus on the black money from the higher side, to fill up the gap if any. Some more submissions will be followed. Thank you

Make the bureaucracy accountable for denial/delaying of any service through online work flow process. Motto must be that the government is there to do service to the citizens and not the opposite where officials put numerous objections to any thing. Discretion should be exception and not the norm. Instead of why government is not giving any service/benefit - it should be how we will do it? Accountability is missing as there is no mechanism to monitor.

Just Banning plastic anywhere isn't a solution.... Recently government ban plastic in U.P. I would suggest that banning of plastic will rise a problem is plastic factories for workers... The government should encourage or promote the production of synthetic fibre bags in these plastic factories... This will keep the employment of workers and will promote synthetic bags in market.... Thank you

I have come to know this year also, the unpaid doubts were increased and like to say when there is a provision to offer loan for starting a company the manager is demanding Income tax statements since the company is functioning for 10 years. When there is no loan is offered, and no outstanding the statements are not necessary, I think. Please instruct, all the statements, must be for whom have not repaid the loan already offered,From Hari Enterprises CA 125302000002001 Thiruvottiyur Market branc

my comment is to focus on environment and upcoming water crisis specially in cities. On open canals we should install solar panels so that the water can't be evaporate and can be suck by ground... this have two benefits.. first- it will make energy and second it will recharge ground table.... I know that solar panel are expensive... so for now, we can intall a little slant structure on canals on ehich we can put a layer of plants... this is also eco friendly... Thank you
