A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country. As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

Due to nuclear family system in India, 12 LPG CYLINDERS are much more than enough. Govt should take bold steps to make at least 9. No k oil to ration card holder having LPG connection. Reduce subsidy on diesel way. 5 kg wheat per member to be given only to bpl families. But BPL selection creteria is required to be changed. Reduce the LPG subsidy periodically. Now 400 cash is transfered to bank, next year it should be 350.

Very big difference in prices attract diversion.In fact there is nobody poor as defined by Govt. as BPL. Heavy Tax structure is responsible for higher Prices.So, reduce n simplify Tax structure and let it open to market.If y wish to give benefits to poor,then poor definition n then select the people for giving subsidy into his bank account

Misuse of domestic LPG is in Hotels(whether small or big, roadside ones), Cars using GasKits. Also multiple connections in one name in one city. With SB A/c to poor with Jan-Dhan-Yojana & Aadhar as a base, subsidy to be given only to very poor people. Rest to pay@market rate. Make SKO available at petrol pumps @market rate. Selling through FP shops to be abolished immediately.With reduction in burden on subsidy, Govet can reduce indirect taxes of equivalent amount for larger benefit to people.

what i believe would be the most effective way to control the kerosene price is to make it availible on pumping stations just like diesel or petrol without subsidy. Due to unavailibilty and very low cost from subsidy it is stored and widely used in industry what should be used by common man. so if it is availible and subsidy free the common man can affford it but industry will stop using it hence the cost will sustain itself.

Dear Sir I suggest 1.Govt.need to give subsidy in middle & poor class only.2.no subsidy given by the Govt.to Govt.Officers & Staff. 3.Govt.not give subsidy to rich class- business mans,farmers,industrieliest & any others 4.block the black market usage storangly.

There are other ways to reduce cost of LPG & KEROSENE by encouraging people for biogas plants in rural area there is best example of turning human waste into clean energy in Nairobi, kenya's slum areas please check this link: http://www.theguardian.com/global-development-professionals-network/2014/oct/15/poo-power-renewable-energy-kenya-slums-biogas Govt can use this to encourage recycling of human waste as well as reducing consumption & cost of cylinders by giving subsidy for biogasplant

In phase 1, the option is to exclude richest from the LPG subsidy. This can be done by asking for volunteers who like to pay regular price. This will release some burden immediately. In phase 2 , it can be done using the income declared by tax payers. Phase 3 will be the toughest to identify who can afford to pay regular price but not volunteered OR file tax returns.

4---- number of cylinders per year depends on family memebers who is taking subsidy cylinder.like if there is only 2,3 person in the family then i think they dont need 12 cylinder per year.
