Water leakage from munical corporation waterline waste too much. There should be proper preductive maintenance techique teach to corporation person or outsource from some agency it will improve system drastically.e.g. we can installed water meter every 10 km /50 km and monitore on line consumption it will help to reduce leakage for above and below ground.

Recently a method of creating electricity through sewage treated water has been discovered by Ireland's scientists. They extract the water content of our faeces and it used for producing electricity by using it. The by products are of this extract are potassium, sulfur, nitrogen etc. which can used later as manure. The amount of daily waste is produced in our urban cities that by this method we can electrify more areas of our country by this renewable source of energy production.

Municipal corporations built sewage treatment plants because it is mandatory. Pollution control boards check and assure the quality of the treated water, eventhen rivers get polluted because of discharge of treated effluents into river. Putting automated analyzers may not serve the function as nobody calibrates and maintains those systems. A stringent action here is that atleast 20 % of treated sewage water must be forced to be used as raw water for drinking water treatment in the same city.

Our forefathers did have a beautiful system of water management.Canals carried water for irrigation.Separate water storage for cattle bathing.Ponds for people's bathing facilities. Fresh drinking water from fresh water lake was taken separately. We have to just rejuvenate them, especially desilt all of them during summer so that when rains come, water does not go waste. It is properly stored for use in villages.
