Although new to farming, I have come across two main hurdles. 1) road connectivity to farms, 2) management of rain water. Failure last year due to scarcity, this year due to excess rain. Excess rain water from three adjoining fields rushes to my land and fertile soil on the surface and also lots of soil is lost every year. Ponds with proper connectivity i.e., pond network in every field and proper connectivity between these pond networks (instead of large agri - lakes) might be more benefecial.

Please include the people residing in villages, cities, at least 10 people for every 100 people, and make them as committee members and these committee members should rotated in such a way that all these members should come under as committee members in a given people of it should not be more than one year, and this rotation should go on continue to uplift village, area, town, city etc., With out the proportion and active participation its very difficult to see new India.

Modiji, I would like to draw your attention to the people involved in cleaning the manholes/drainages or collecting waste from our dustbins, on a daily basis. People working in these are not provided with basic outfits (dress); they work with their bare hands.Everytime they work, they are exposed to toxic mateirals, very bad odour, navigate nasty routes. I believe that these people must be provided basic outfits to protect themselves & provide comfort. Please look at the picture for a sample.

Dear Govt, Infrastructure development is MANTRA of healthy economy. UR 100 bn $ effort will pressurize of ENVIRONMENT especially TREE lost in infrastructure creation 1. Expansion of OLD HIGH WAYS tree cutting is inevitable and REPLANTATION Take Years&resource. Govt 2 audit no of tree 2b cut before infrastructure development Rather than cutting shift them to bank of nearest canal, advantage strong bank and evaporation nearby village pond Near railway lines at safe distance

To continue, 3500 litres of water is required to get 1 kg rice. The subsidy given to farmers on electricity is many times more than the market value of the crop. Instead we can do that paddy cultivation should be allowed only where canal water is available, or water table is so good that running pumpsets is quite cheap. Alternatively we can promote other area suitable crops by giving extra subsidy, which in any case will definitely be less than power subsidy.

To improve water table in rural areas, we must formulate district level crop planning. This will not just improve ground water table but will also improve income level of farmers. E.g, in lot of areas of haryana and punjab farmers are growing paddy where water table has depleted to 300 ft or more. The cost of extracting water thru diesel pumpsets or electricity alone is more than the sale price of paddy.

Hi everyone..Water Management Program has be carried out in every locality in our country by both Government and NGO. Whatever steps taken, at the end the responsibility comes to citizen where most citizen doesn't take it serious. So, some programs like canvassing, community meeting in every locality should be started and also should be encouraged. Today's youngsters are tomorrows world, this should me mainly focused on youngsters.
