In December 2014 the United Nations declared 21st June as ‘International Day of Yoga’ after 177 nations across all continents of the world co-sponsored a resolution seeking the same.

When the resolution was adopted, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed immense joy on this and said that Yoga has the power to bring the entire humankind together. It may be recalled that the Prime Minister had mooted such an idea during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2014.

You are requested to provide inputs on the following aspects relating to the marking of the first ever ‘International Day of Yoga’.

(1) How can the ‘International Day of Yoga’ be celebrated at the UN forum?

(2) Suggest creative ways in which the ‘International Day of Yoga’ can be celebrated at the world stage.

(3) What are ways in which we can mark the ‘International Day of Yoga’ across the length and breadth of India?

Best inputs and suggestions would be sent to the Prime Minister himself and would also be utilized.

आदरणिय प्रधानमंत्री जी, 'आंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस' सारे विश्र्व में हमारी संस्कृति तथा हमारे दर्शन,'सर्वे सन्तु निरामय:।' का संदेश पहुँचाएगा।इसके लिए हमें योग विषयक तथा हमारी संस्कृति को उजागर करे ऐसी द्रश्य-श्राव्य सामग्री तैयार करके प्रस्ताव के समर्थक सभी देशों को भेजनी चाहिए।यह सामग्री बड़ी मात्रा में हो जिससे उन देशों के स्कूल-काॅलेजों तक पहूँच सके।हमें योग गुरूओं तथा योग में रूचि रखनेवालो को हमारे योगदूतों के रूप में समर्थक देशों में भेजने चाहिए । भारत में इसे एक बड़े उत्सव के रूप में मनाएं

Some more suggestions for IYD. 'Yoga should be included in medical and research curriculum, like the Chinese have integrated Chinese traditional medicine in their respective medical curriculum. Better integration can occur if MCI is made interdisciplinary and includes people from complementary medicine' 'Yoga centres should be included within the national medical institutes'

Respected pm ji people know that yoga is exercise and meditation & it is usfull for mantle and physical health but is only introductory knowledge about yoga. Yoga concept is very vast concept that means connection , concentration and centralization & it is very necessary in every field of human life, as in human, so in society,in state,in country,in world & in nature . as i describe in my upcoming book.if you give me time to describe I can give very vast concept about it.ACHARY.R.P.PATEL

On this day people at schools, colleges, govt. institutions, at home should do Suryanamaskar (10 times), Naadi Shuddi (10 rounds), Kapaal Bhaati (10 rounds) at 8.30AM sharp, all TV channels should stop telecasting other things and telecast how to do these things. It will max. 20 minutes to complete it. A GOOD WAY TO START A DAY.

Yoga, important to well-being of all human beings, is being practiced over the world and has become an industry with turnover of millions of dollars with no income to the parent country from which it originated. Reminiscent of huge scientific knowledge originated in India haphazardly without any coordinated control, resulting in heavy loss to the country of origin. It is desirable to get it patented so as to have ownership & revenue besides popularity & bondship with people all over world.
