International Yoga day should be used for creating awareness & consciousness for yoga that would change the perceptions of people for Yoga.Which would lead to increasing yogic practices in day to day life.. For which Yoga workshops should be held at neighborhood levels (colony level) and they should be more & more productive rather than only having banners..Peoples participation's to be optimised i.e.smart participation. This could be supplemented with active participation of other stakeholders.

A detailed lecture of Yog Rishi Swami Ramdevji on Yoga along with the demonstration of various asanas of yoga should be telecast on all National TV Channels on first International Day of Yoga 21st June 2015. Govt. should also declare some promotional incentives to the renowned yogis of our country for their contribution in making Yoga easy in understanding and practicing by a common man. Also government should declare Yoga and Pranayam as one of the subject in schools at primary level.

YOG MEANS JOR OR COMBINATION OF SOUL AND BODY.
The Importance of YOG in the present day context can not be overemphasized. Whole of the world has now recognized its necessity. As a result of it, 177 countries accepted in the General Assembly Meeting of U.N.O. a proposal by our Honb’le Prime Minister Sh. An initial lecture on yoga, its benefits and how it can be part of school curriculum and made as a part of ones life, by few renowned yoga practitioners. Followed by demonstration of yoga asanas by people in the age group 6 to 90 yrs.
Yoga should be made as a part of the curriculum across all schools in the world especially in India. Yoga unites the mind and the body. In this age when most of the diseases are due to stress and lack of physical activity, yoga will help in overcoming this.

Unless you are happy, you are not successful. Unless you are well - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually - you cannot be happy. Now, happiness is not fleeting pleasure that often ends in disgust and disease. The happiness we all seek is the ever-new soul-joy. And through step-by-step, scientific methods, Yoga provides the way, the scientific discipline and the guidance. While Bhakti Yoga,Karma Yoga,Gyan Yoga are not exclusive to each other,Ashtanga (Raja) Yoga is the best and easiest.

It would be ideal to hold a mass Surya Namaskara event on the very first world yoga day, say 108 Surya Namaskaras. The impact will be huge, considering the people all over the world will do Surya Namaskara together on the same day.

As a motivational speaker, engineer, writer, poet, linguist and ex-Mktg Dir with a total of 42 years of experience (including 30 yrs in practice/teaching of yoga), I offer to help spread the real psycho-spiritual purpose of yoga globally through seminars / talks / conferences. Yogasan is only 12.5% of yoga (in Ashtanga Yoga) but people usually think of only that when we talk of Yoga. The ultimate aim of Yoga is Self-realization. And yoga is for people of all faiths/nationalities.- www.hansyoga.com
