In December 2014 the United Nations declared 21st June as ‘International Day of Yoga’ after 177 nations across all continents of the world co-sponsored a resolution seeking the same.

When the resolution was adopted, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed immense joy on this and said that Yoga has the power to bring the entire humankind together. It may be recalled that the Prime Minister had mooted such an idea during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2014.

You are requested to provide inputs on the following aspects relating to the marking of the first ever ‘International Day of Yoga’.

(1) How can the ‘International Day of Yoga’ be celebrated at the UN forum?

(2) Suggest creative ways in which the ‘International Day of Yoga’ can be celebrated at the world stage.

(3) What are ways in which we can mark the ‘International Day of Yoga’ across the length and breadth of India?

Best inputs and suggestions would be sent to the Prime Minister himself and would also be utilized.

Yoga realizes the idea of a healthy mind in a healthy body. It is of great importance to stay strong physically as well as mentally to give the best in what you do. Let's don't mix religion or politics with this and try to make Yoga a lifestyle. This is indeed a wonderful contribution to the world from our great country.

1. Please create a website in english, hindi and all other regional and major foreign languages like french, german, to popularise yoga around the world. India must create a website on its own and at the same time also ask UN to create a new website to bring all world public to the forum. 2. The website should have videos hosted in youtube with subtitles in all languages of the world explaining the steps to take and the benefits of each yoga sana. 3. Website will help public to refer. #Yoga

Thanks Modiji for your efforts in getting international recognition for yoga. We (I and my friends) want to make a small contribution towards this. We want to take yoga online and provide a platform where people can learn yoga online from experts and also can get experts advice towards various diseases which can be cured by yoga. We would like to have your viewpoint on this and also your expert advice on improvements so that it's more beneficial to people. Regards, Jeetendra Jaiswal
