In December 2014 the United Nations declared 21st June as ‘International Day of Yoga’ after 177 nations across all continents of the world co-sponsored a resolution seeking the same.

When the resolution was adopted, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed immense joy on this and said that Yoga has the power to bring the entire humankind together. It may be recalled that the Prime Minister had mooted such an idea during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2014.

You are requested to provide inputs on the following aspects relating to the marking of the first ever ‘International Day of Yoga’.

(1) How can the ‘International Day of Yoga’ be celebrated at the UN forum?

(2) Suggest creative ways in which the ‘International Day of Yoga’ can be celebrated at the world stage.

(3) What are ways in which we can mark the ‘International Day of Yoga’ across the length and breadth of India?

Best inputs and suggestions would be sent to the Prime Minister himself and would also be utilized.

Thanks Honorable PM and Special Thanks to that GREAT YOGI BABA RAMDEV & HIS HIGHNESS SRI SRI RAVISHANKARJI for Bringing YOGA at the World Stage. We need not hold back now, too much tolerance is sign of sheer cowardice, even our PM needs to be aggressive against the enemies of India, the ITALIAN NAZI CONGRESS. Mr Raul Vinci has had the guts to deride the initiative which brings India to FOREFRONT.Mr Raul Vinci aka Rahul Gandhi, the cocaine addict and his ITALIAN Mother and their anti national

Any and every right thinking person is bound to get dismayed getting confronted with ideas that tend to term YOGA as something linked to values other than HEALTH, HAPPINESS AND HARMONY. AND, MORE SO WHEN SUCH A PEVERSE THING ENNINATES FROM ELEMENTS WITHIN OUR OWN SOCIETY. THIS PERVERSE THINKING COMES ON ACCOUNT OF ANY THING BUT RIGHT AND HONEST THINKING WITH WELFARE OF PEOPLE AT HEART ON THE PART OF SUCH "HIGH THINKES"?!

Let us hope and pray that initiation of performing YOGA nationally and internationally, jointly and in one go, would bring peace and tranquility among one and all performining Nations; and, taking along those who some-how feel disclined at this juncture. YOGA NEEDS TO BE SEEN AS A BINDING FORCE, BOTH FOR HEALTH AND HAPPINESS WORLD-WIDE!!

YOGA, which had lost its 'value' even in India, has come on the central stage globally, thanks to the awareness spread all-over by the message given by the PM in his maiden speech at the United Nations. SO IMPRESSIVE WAS THE POINT OF REFEERENCE OF THE PM THAT AT THE FIRST OPPORTUNITY THEREAFTER, 21st JUNE WAS DECLARED AS INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA BY THE UN, ENDORSED AND SUPPORTED BY NO LESS THAN 177 NATIONS. AN OPPORTUNITY GRABBED FOR FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING AMONG THE NATIONS.

With the keen interest exhibited by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Yoga has set on its journey to attainn its rightful place in the comity of nations keen to embark on path to creat healthy and happy society. AN ANCIENT INDIAN 'PANACEA', IT HAD ALMOST LOST ITS 'PLACE'.

Govt employees working with Armed Forces, Inter-service Organizations like MES, Paramilitary forces can be tasked to conduct pre-planned activities to mark International Day of Yoga 2015 in a structured form in their Officers/JCO/OR messes and Institutes. Potential of such premises and such disciplined organizations can be tapped for organizing the event in a befitting manner. What is required is ISSUING INSTRUCTIONS to these Organizations in a comprehensive manner.
