India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

MyGov invites you to share your ideas and suggestions on how to adapt to an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

1. Reduce
2. Reuse
3. Recycle
4. Renewable
5. Recover
6. Re-design
7. Re-manufacture

Few examples for the above:
Reduce - Electricity, Fuel Usage
Reuse - Old Clothes, Electronics, Building materials, furniture
Recycle - Plastic, newspapers, cartons, boxes
Renewable - Solar, Wind, Hydro, Tidal, Geothermal & Biomass
Recover - Forests, rivers, soil, mountains, wildlife
Redesign - Green buildings
Remanufacture - E-waste for new purposes

Our civilisational values have taught us the importance of living in harmony with nature. Today, let’s come together to protect our environment & take forward Mission LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment.

21. Old electronic things need to segregated, recycle properly. So that it is good for environment. 22. Furnitures can be given to poor if good conditioned. All existing plastic things we can use till life time of its own and further we should not encourage in market. Need to think and take steps 23. We used to sell old news papers , old book shops wala used to take. Since papers are coming from wood, this can be used to create paper bags, wrapping and all can use. Milk covers separately they and recycle. Similar shops can open in consumer places. Like old marts kind. 24. Old boxes can be used to transfer items. Still it's life ends we can use it.

18. Electricity can be generated via green power like solar, wind power etc. Out country hot season are there, we can believe solar power more I think. 19. Fuel usage we can use whatever required. Possible places taking public transport and car pooling is good. Cycle travel to places, walking also good. 20. Old good conditioned clothes gives to poor people. Many such initiatives happening. It is good one. It is happening in CSR( corporate social responsibility) of corporate companies, or other orphanages we used to give clothes. I came across organization like goonj where they do check and distribute good condition clothes to poor. Similarly there is one orphanage in Bangalore where they collect all old material like paper, books, dresses, old vessels etc and they sell it or use those etc. Anything old items can give. Ie Rakom school in Bangalore. This organization really helping and creating wealth out of old things.

Sir, Cryptocurrencies consume electricity. Please see that all the international treaties are reworked keeping in view the general exception clauses of each treaty which intends to relieve host nations from liability for good faith measures taken to pursue public welfare objectives. Domestic usage should not be distributed. So as to compensate and compromise on this aspect before adoption of crypto currency India should force western countries to come to our terms which benefits our people. Whole world is looking upto India for a validated crypto law. Why can't electricity be an underlying asset for Cryptocurrencies. And that too the one that is generated through renewable resources and not non renewable ones. This will ensure our environment is also taken care of.

In my childhood, i remember the hero honda bikes gives mileage of 70km/ liter. I wonder now technology is improved lot but bikes will give only 50km/liter.. This is also one kind of fuel wastage.. Good efficient vehicles also needed companies should give importance to fuel efficiency than just think of business
