India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

Indian Handicrafts and Cottage industries are Rural skill oriented and useful for our dat to day lifestyle These should be promoted by forming tax concession and marketing

Reduce the usage of your electrical appliances. ... Drive your car less. ... Reduce the usage of your wooden stove. ... Maintain a healthy eco system. ... Reduce usage of chemicals and pesticides. ... Recycle the waste products. ... Reduce carbon footprints. ... Grow your food locally.

इसके लिए सुझाव ये हैं कि केंद्र राज्य में जितने भी कर्मचारी हैं सबको चाहे वो छोटा से छोटा क्यों ना हों और बडा क्यों ना हों सबको एक एक पेड़ लगाना है और इसके प्रमाण के लिए सेल्फी या फोटो सोशल मीडिया में डलवाना है। अगर 20%ने भी अगर ये कर दिया तो स्वच्छ हवा के लिए सरकार का काम थोड़ा कम हो जायेगा। हर हर महादेव

Few more sustainable innovations within the energy industry.   Electric tires are a new concept Goodyear are working on, these would charge while in use. They would be powered by the friction heat of the tires on the road. These tires could also possibly still charge when they aren't moving.  Lithium-glass Batteries unlike the traditional have an extremely long lifespan. They have twice the energy density than a normal battery and their capacity grows with age. The batteries charge quicker than any other type, cost less and operate at lower temperatures. Carbon nanotubes are carbon atoms rolled up into singular sheet molecules. These can generate electricity and could be used in smaller electrical appliances instead of other energy sources.

Fossil fuels are becoming increasingly damaging to the environment and atmosphere. Renewable sources of energy are on the rise. 1. Artificial Photosynthesis is the process of capturing and storing the energy from the sunlight. Scientists are also researching how water can be converted into hydrogen and oxygen which could decrease the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. 2. Ocean’s Tidal energy, similar to solar, is a consistent source of energy. Previously scientists have struggled to utilize this because of the location, it is hard to transport energy from the ocean to land. Now tidal energy can be a direct source of energy; it could power up to 20% of the UK.

घटते वन प्राकृतिक आपदाओं राजनैतिक कारणों से वन भूमि का आबंटन खनिजों का खनन बढ़ती जनसंख्या भविष्य में जल वायु संकट एक चुनौती है। इसके लिए वन संरक्षण, संवर्धन और विकास की बहुत सी कार्यशाला, सेमिनार होते हैं करोड़ों रुपए वनविभाग में वेतन भत्ते पर हर माह खर्च होते हैं पर एक पौधा कैसे वृक्ष का आकार ले इसके लिए कोई ठोस रणनीति आज भी आजादी के बाद निर्धारित नहीं हो पाई सर्वे भी ठीक रूप से नहीं हो पाता राजनैतिक कारणों से भी वन विभाग अच्छा काम कर पाने में सफल नहीं हो पाता।आज आवश्यकता इस बात की है कि हम जैवविविधता अधिनियम नियम को कड़ाई से पालन करते हुए उजड़ते वन के पुर्नउत्थान हेतु वन विभाग के दायित्वों को सुनिश्चित करने और वनवासियों को सामूहिक भूमि आवंटन जिसमें फलदार वृक्षों औषधीय पौधों एवं अन्य वनोपज के संबंध में नीतिगत फैसले समय पर लेने होंगे। भारत की सभी जैवविविधता संकट पर है जिसमें पशु पक्षियों जानवरों के साथ साथ वनस्पति भी प्रायः विलुप्तता की कगार पर है। दूसरी ओर भूजल नीचे आ रहा है जंगल हर चुनाव के समय 10%कम हो जाते हैं एक ओर वन भूमि से कृषि का दायरा अवश्य बढ़ता है किन्तु सिंचाई हेतु जल नहीं

Respected Sir/madam, First Every states & Central Govt may b work together LIFE program then it works meaning full. installing (wind Turbine) to converting wind energy to electric energy at all over coastal area of india is better solution to cutt off energy demand. Solar panel subsidy for all indian citizen cutt off demand of energy & basically Village area. Every School/college/University may know about program then automatically ideas are practically working independently. Thank you

वन है तो जीवन है किन्तु आज वनविभाग द्वारा सघन वृक्षारोपण सफल नहीं हो पाता और सबसे अधिक बजट इसी के लिए है इसलिए वृक्षारोपण को सफल बनाने के लिए एक रणनीति बनाने की आवश्यकता है। इसके लिए पौधों से वृक्ष पलने पोषण के लिए जनभागीदारी एवं दायित्व का निर्धारण आवश्यक है। वन मंडलाधिकारी को कम से कम पांच वर्ष तक इस दायित्व का निर्वहन संबंधित वृक्षारोपण क्षेत्रों के अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों के साथ कैसे हो इसके लिए नियम कानून और प्रबंधन की जरूरत है।वन भूमि का आबंटन के बदले सामूहिक वन प्रबंधन एवं कृषि करण साथ ही उजड़े वन क्षेत्रों को पुनः स्थापित करने हेतु जैवविविधता नियमों अधिनियमों के तहत कार्ययोजना तैयार करने की आवश्यकता है और इन क्षेत्रों में आदिवासी समुदाय की आजीविका हेतु औषधीय पौधों का कृषि करण हेतु भी रणनीति तैयार करना चाहिए। निर्मल कुमार अवस्थी संचालक परंपरागत ज्ञान एवं वनौषधि विकास फाउंडेशन
