India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

MyGov invites you to share your ideas and suggestions on how to adapt to an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

Recover - Forests, rivers, soil, mountains, wildlife
Redesign - Green buildings
Remanufacture - E-waste for new purposes

A step towards not exactly plastic less, but less plastic. First and foremost, awareness in children, who are our future. A step towards not exactly plastic less, but less plastic. Reducing the use of use and throw or one-time usage materials to more reusable ones. Start replacing wooden-made pencils with paper-made pencils thinking how? Well, we have a person named Aparna from Dharwad, Karnataka, who not only makes pencils out of old newspapers but also has seeds attached at the end which on disposal will lead to the growth f new plants. She has even trained and provided jobs for women If proper marketing is made well we can at least cut off a certain percent of deforestation to make pencils. Educating children on reusability by which I mean making learning fun by teaching them how to make buff-sheets or any sort of cards using newspaper it hardly required water and old newspaper and natural resource sunlight which makes learning fun.

महोदय सादर प्रणाम वर्तमान समय मे यह देखने मे आता है की विवाह, जन्मदिन या कोई शुभ अवसर पर प्लास्टिक की वस्तुओं का उपयोग अधिकतर किया जाता है जो पर्यावरण के लिए हानिकारक है इसके पर्याय के रूप मे भारत मे जिन प्राचीन पद्धति का उपयोग किया जाता था उनमे केले के पत्तलों तथा अन्य पत्तलों का उपयोग किया जाता था जो की स्वास्थ्य तथा पर्यावरण की दृष्टी से अधिक उपयोगी है आयुर्वेद मे भी विभिन्न वृक्षों के पत्रों का महत्व बताया गया है अतः पर्यावरण की दृष्टी से यह बहुत उपयोगी साबित होगा भारत सरकार को प्लास्टिक के उपयोग पर पाबन्दी लगाना चाहिए

Sewage treatment plant should be done mandatory in very district . Water reuse will increase . Rain water harvesting system is necessary if construction done more than 400 sq area . Or recharge ground water system Solar energy systems must available at geniune price all over country. Subsidiary must be there

to reduce polluting vehicles in cities, people should be encouraged to board super fast train express trains to commute within city limits each city junction as atleast five outskirts halt stations where this so called super fast can serve the people and also earn money for their efforts on the railway track not get cursed for going empty

Hello Sir, My city needs a change the city needs to develop environmentally. I want to change my city and make my city in top of bihar there are lots of company and business are there which needs to be implemented for a better environment and development. i have contacted lots of politicians through mail but they haven’t given me a single reply, The idea and the vision i have it can bring a large number of employment. The city will develop and the infrastructure also.
