Dear PM, we are ever increasing the amount of concretisation leading to devastating urban floods. Also in the Himalayan region. I read an article today on Slow Water and how water always wins . It is impressive to see how China has created Sponge cities as a response to respect land & water. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2022/jun/07/slow-water-urban-floods-drought-china-sponge-cities?utm_source=pocket-newtab-intl-en . I humbly request that we adopt this in our cities (esp where swamps are dried out to build mega apartments & software technology parks increasingly).
appreciate this wonderful platform to contribute & share our idea!
Thank you! Suresh

More the gluten content in sugar cane & grains more the ethanol production. USA is the largest producer of Sweet Corn or American Corn, this could be the reason they are also the largest producer of ethanol from Maize. Indian Agriculture Scientists can invent Gluten Rich grains Maize or Sugar Cane which will help in boosting the ethanol production. Calibrated & Strategic approach for cultivation of Sweet Corn Indian Variants will immensely help farming community & poultry industry. The biofuel or Ethanol produced from Sweet Corn will reduce import burden of fossil fuels. Defence Services are also planning to train superannuated ex servicemen in agriculture & allied activities in contract with Hyderabad based agriculture training academy. Priority must be given to cultivate gluten rich Sweet Corn & Sugar Cane for ex servicemen engaged with above academy.

Ethanol Extraction & Blending is from Maize not being fully tapped in our Country. The main reason may be large portion of corn is being used by poultry industry as feed for the chicken. Maize being short term crop & widely grown through out the country in all seasons & it's viable option used as mixed crop along with other crops can be hugely tapped for ethanol industry.
The GOI can a formalize a scheme for Poultry Owners to setup ethanol extraction mills from corn strach. The process of ethanol extraction leaves residues which can be used as feed for chicken. Hence Ethanol extraction from corn for poultry Owners can be most profitable ancillary business . The scheme will help the poultry Owners make good of the losses made out of unforeseen challenges of poultry industry. The govt should allow Ethanol Extraction for poultry Owners who have successful business continuity of 10 years & above and specify capacity in litres category wise to avoid greed & diversion of business.

My suggestion for a environmentally sustainable future are as follows:
1.Highway department should plant one tree between lights and line of trees in central median
2.Roads should be made to last long for many years as millions of mountains pay price for poor roads and alternate environmentally feasible solution should be developed by DRDO
3.Govt Forest department should not only focus on commercial crops but also increase the plantations of food crops and air purifying plants
4.Every panchayat or a ward should be provided with recycling collection center and every district should have a recycling unit.
5.Every home should be provided with natural dustbin by Govt where food waste can be converted to manure by natural process.
6.Govt should monitor and strictly implement the Septic tank design by DRDO compulsory in every home.
7.Govt should compulsorily implement rainwater
harvesting in every home.
8.Govt should place recycling ATM machine and maintain it regularly which helps in
