the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.
LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Every citizen should have his/her own responsibility in reducing wastage of resources like water, electricity, food and trees. Many waste electricity by using all lights, fans and AC even when it is not needed. Wastage of food items during big parties. Wastage of pure water instead of saving them.
Use and throw concept is one of the major reason for wasting. Every parent should train their

Use and throw concept is one of the major reason for wasting. Every parent should train their kids to live with minimum comfort and avoid unnecessary spending money on food items, buying unnecessary gadgets and electronic items. Schools and Colleges Teachers should educate their students on money value. Some buy and waste many things. One can donate unused and extra items to orphanages or to any poor people known to them.
Reducing the use of plastic materials is a must and avoid using plastic covers while going for shopping. Everyone should carry their own cloth bags. Shops can give a discount if anyone brings their own cloth bags as their contribution to the society.

cont-- Sustainable living is a practical philosophy that aims to reduce personal and societal environmental impact by making positive changes which counteract climate change and other negative environmental concerns. More simply, sustainable living is a method of reducing one's “carbon footprint” Recycling, walking instead of driving your car, and completely turning off equipment when not in use, are all ways to lessen your impact on the environment. But according to a new comprehensive study, the single best thing you can do for the planet is to eliminate meat and dairy from your diet. Environmental commitment is the individual's pursuit of environmental sustainability, willingness to sacrifice personal enjoyment, reducing waste of resources, using environmentally friendly new products and supporting government's adaptation strategies
