Every citizen should have his/her own responsibility in reducing wastage of resources like water, electricity, food and trees. Many waste electricity by using all lights, fans and AC even when it is not needed. Wastage of food items during big parties. Wastage of pure water instead of saving them.
Use and throw concept is one of the major reason for wasting. Every parent should train their kids to live with minimum comfort and avoid unnecessary spending money on food items, buying unnecessary gadgets and electronic items. Schools and Colleges Teachers should educate their students on money value. Some buy and waste many things. One can donate unused and extra items to orphanages or to any poor people known to them.
Reducing the use of plastic materials is a must and avoid using plastic covers while going for shopping. Everyone should carry their own cloth bags. Shops can give a discount if anyone brings their own cloth bags as their contribution to the society.

Dear honorable members,
Sustainable development requires us to plan and execute much better. Our educational institutions have to teach students how Design can help in making our environment much better.
1. Quality in town and country planning
2. Town planning with horticulture should go together
3. Ease of living means people should have such facilities like waste disposal and waste management
4. Wide roads should be developed within living areas with sidewalk and horticulture
5. Renewable energy should be considered in all areas of development
6. Reduce energy consumption by using energy efficient electronics and devices
7. Consider open architecture for all electronics to enable extension of product life cycles
8. Follow international design aspects for all architectural construction in desert areas, mountain areas and tropical areas
9. Reduce pollution in each of 5 elements: Earth , Fire(energy sources) , air, water, wind(propulsion systems), space (debris)

For reducing the usage of Electricity we may make Energy Efficient buildings especially in Government offices and MNCs. Energy Efficient Building means the building has proper ventilation and lightings so during day time we have natural lightings which need not to turn on the light during day time and in night time we don't need to use Fans, Acs etc.,
*The water from the domestic use can be pour into the garden..
*Steam cooking may lead to lower the domestic fuel consumption and also good for health
*Turn the old bottles into Pen stand, Earrings storage, Flower vase etc.,
*Turn the old boxes into Photo frame, Shoe stands, Storage boxes..
* Producing the Biomass Energy using the Vegetable wastes by adopting the Community based approach in a small wards/ Panchayats etc.,
*Turn the old clothes into Curtains, Handle for heated vessels, mat etc.,
*Use some working components of failed Electronics items to the newly manufactured items. Youths are encouraged to do this kind of activities.
