In order to make the Union Budget-making process participative and inclusive, the Ministry of Finance has sought inputs from citizens for the last several years. This year too, the Ministry looks forward to hearing from you on your suggestions for the Union Budget which will be presented in the Parliament in the upcoming session.

Citizens from all walks of life are welcome to be a part of this democratic exercise. You can submit your suggestions either directly in the comments box or attach a PDF document.

We seek your valuable ideas to continue the tradition of the Union Budget incorporating the citizens’ aspirations. The last date for submissions on this forum is 20th June 2019.

Respected finance minister, Please increase 2nd class railway passenger fare by 30%, so as to improve present condition, introduction of fast local trains covering distance of 200kms, accident fool proof system, phase out old vintage bogies & engines. Phase wise electrification of railway, in order to reduce dependency on diesel.best railway stations in all cities. Reduce corruption in Indian railways, provide good food in all trains. Hoping for best budget. God bless you Jai hind,

Dear Madamji, Very nice and kind of you to invite suggestions. This is regarding the hardship we face in Service Industry. The TDS rate u/s 194 J is 10% which we request you to reduce to 5% which will benfefit a lot of SME service industries. Have made a small note which I have enclosed. Thank you very much.

Minimum Income tax payment : In Income tax there is a concept of Minimum Alternate tax , similar to that there should be a concept of paying minimum income tax to Govt. by business.

1. Scrap LTA and HRA allowance exemption as these two areas are grey area where chance of falsely claims are there. Instead of that increase standard deduction amount for salaried employees. 2. Salaried employees when they compare with business class, feels very annoyed . Not fair to collect higher tax from employees and keeping business class free to pay what they desire.

Lower tax burden : 1.Introduce Banking transaction tax or similar to curb the transactions out of tax preview 2. Paying GST @18% on Health related services like mediclaim, tests etc. pinch very much. Tax rates needs to be rationalized. 3. Interest deduction limit of Rs.2,00,000 u/s 24 of Income tax act should be relook. Paying such huge loans but limit amount is very less.

Its feels nice to see finally, Government takes such an interest to hear the voice of common man, as also feels great to be from a place where we had Mahatma Gandhiji, Mr. Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Morarji Desai and now Mr. Narendra Modiji. I would take this platform and like to pen down suggestion during this budget. There are various occasion where Mr. Modiji had remembered Mr. Sardar Patel in is various speech n likewise build one of the biggest status of his, but we never had and
