Dear Madam Finance Minister, We as a culture have been conservative and encourage savings by providing tax benefits. However, I hold a contrarian view to equally encourage spending for the ones who can afford it. I hereby suggest keeping a tax-free benefit cap of up to 1 Lac (or up to 3L-5L who fall under higher brackets) for spending on travel & entertainment for the salaried middle class.
