In order to make the Union Budget-making process participative and inclusive, the Ministry of Finance has sought inputs from citizens for the last several years. This year too, the Ministry looks forward to hearing from you on your suggestions for the Union Budget which will be presented in the Parliament in the upcoming session.

Citizens from all walks of life are welcome to be a part of this democratic exercise. You can submit your suggestions either directly in the comments box or attach a PDF document.

We seek your valuable ideas to continue the tradition of the Union Budget incorporating the citizens’ aspirations. The last date for submissions on this forum is 20th June 2019.

eating n food cost for aam admi very high..must be nominal ... must put maximum planting tree on war footing.. environment care mp MLA benefits must be reviewed. cultural n moral edua must for every family. must pay attention on education....

The Tariff Item pertaining to Routers (85176930) has been placed under Sub-heading 8517.69, the Customs Authorities may raise the issue and state that the Routers imported ought to be classified under Sub-heading 8517.62 and not under Tariff Item 85176930. This may raise needless controversy by way of denial of the BCD Tariff Rate of FREE now being extended to Routers, which is against the manifest intention of the legislature. A detailed presentation on this matter is attached herewith.

(1)Common Fees structure for any school PAN India upto higher secondary level.(2) In name of convence schools charge huge amount. Strict restriction on the same.(3) Implementation of Ration shop in every 5 km radius. This will increase job creation. One can take ration through Aadhar card or voter card.(4) Medical insurance increase hospital bills. Strict capping on both Hospital as well as patient. Charges should be limited, beyond that Hospital will be fined.(5) Reduce flight charges.

5. GST though being collected from consumers doesn’t seems to reaching government. There has to be system of checking invoice number issues to customer vis-à-vis doc issued series uploaded by vendors so as to ensure that GST is being paid on invoices given to customers. This facility should be given to consumers to verify and they can become whistle-blower for government in case of mismatch. Many volunteers will come forward.

3. Lawyers and Doctors have to come under GST net if they are using Cash as Option of receiving payments. Loads of evasion appear at that end due to Cash System. 4. Changing Financial Year to Calendar year will be big relief for everyone and will bring our systems in line with international standards.

1. Agriculture income beyond certain threshold should be made taxable so as to reduce tax burden from other class of assesses. Also there has to be strict scrutiny of assesses having income from agriculture vis-à-vis size of land, crop cultivated, volume generated etc. 2. Assesses using Digital Payments should be rewarded vis-à-vis cash oriented businesses.

All activities should be time bound to eliminate delays and red tapism. There should be a checklist of documents required to attached say Refund or approval and if all documents are in order Refund should be granted within 2 weeks of receipt of application. This should be the case for Export Drawback and duty refunds.
