Instead of only providing aid, India should strengthen long-term ties with Afghanistan through trade, development, and diplomacy. As China seeks influence there, it is vital that we act proactively to prevent them from gaining a strategic advantage. Reopening our embassy and fostering business and employment opportunities can revive our historic ties dating back to Gandhara. Indian entrepreneurs can help build economic bridges by supporting digital infrastructure, small industries, education, and healthcare. Afghanistan has great untapped potential and, if engaged wisely, can become a valuable economic and geopolitical partner for India. I offer this suggestion with deep respect and faith in your leadership.
