There have been Whatsapp messages discussing a scheme where people can donate money for the government to assist with war expenses. While those messages were fake, the government should really consider such a scheme and allow NRIs to donate money to such a scheme. Schemes supporting donations towards arms and artillery procurement, R&D to create better air, land and sea monitoring equipment, intelligence gathering, satellite or space support during wartimes, supporting families of injured army/navy/airforce personnel, etc
