I am sure, the Government is giving due importance to Consumer Protection. That being so, at least once in a while this important area can be touched. The Standards of Weights & Measures (Packaged Commodities) Rules, which is very easy to understand and impacts the life of each and every citizen of this country, whether Rural or Urban or Rich or Poor, is conspicuously being neglected by the State and Central Government agencies. I have attached a case study on this, which could be quite revealing. Even in a Metro if this is the status, it is indeed alarming. Issues of this nature, which are apolitical and are affecting the common man can very well be addressed. As a welfare state, I am sure a people oriented regime like yours can do wonders in this area. The phenomenal success of Operation Sindoor, as everyone knows, is to a great extent due to the quality indigenous products such as "Akash" and "Brahmos". Sizeable increase in defence budget for products made in India, in the last 10 years, through the DRDO, Start-ups and the private sector have all contributed to self reliant India, in the Defence sector. In spite of all the roadblocks and negative narration which was tried to built up by the Congress and others, it is a great achievement. Fortunately, all the myths could be blown to pieces and the people could be shown the hollowness of the nay sayers. Congratulations!!
