The caste census recently announced presents an excellent opportunity to digitise Caste Certificates. The Census enumeration may be linked to Aadhaar and All existing caste certificates may be required to seed aadhaar, Thus we can create a centralised data base of caste certificates. This will eradicate the difficulties faced by people in getting certificates and the associated corruption. Once this is done all future appointments and promotions, DBT can be done with on line verification of caste eliminating all the frauds. Caste certificate will be available on line. There are so many other associated benefits of digitisation of caste certificates
