Hi, Making the Fitness Certificate process Fully Online across India is essential for improving transparency, convenience, and efficiency in vehicle regulation. Currently, citizens face delays, corruption, and inconsistent procedures at local transport offices. An online system would let vehicle owners book appointments, upload documents, and receive digital certificates from home. Owners should also be allowed to perform self-inspection, similar to insurance inspections, by uploading geo-tagged photos/videos of key vehicle parts. Additionally, private vehicles above 1500cc should also be brought under mandatory fitness checks, as many high-end cars are involved in serious accidents due to irrational or reckless driving. Including them ensures better oversight, encourages responsible ownership, and improves road safety.
