I have also felt that this practice may have originated during colonial rule, leaving behind a culture that could reduce the efficiency of our armed forces. While some believe it is necessary in extreme weather conditions, I feel healthier alternatives like yoga and meditation can be adopted. I request that this issue be carefully studied to consider discontinuing alcohol use among defence personnel to maintain the highest standards of performance.
